Eligibility Criteria for DDA JE, JSA & AAO:
Educational Qualification:
- Assistant Accounts Officer: Candidates must have completed Chartered Accountant (CA) / Company Secretary (CS) / ICWA / Master in Financial Control / MBA (Finance), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution. Please note that M.Com will not be considered as an equivalent qualification.
- Assistant Section Officer (ASO): (i) Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification from any recognized University. (ii) Proficiency in Computer skills is required.
- Architectural Assistant: Candidates must hold a Degree in Architecture from a recognized University/Institution or an equivalent qualification.
- Legal Assistant: (i) Candidates should possess a Regular Degree in Law from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification that entitles them for registration at the Bar and appearing before the Courts. (ii) Candidates must have 03 years of experience at the Bar. For DDA employees, a Regular Degree in Law from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification and 03 years of regular service in DDA are required.
- Naib Tehsildar: Essential: Candidates should have a Degree from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification with 50% marks or above. Desirable: 1. Knowledge of application of various acts, regulations, and procedures concerning Land and Estate matters; 2. Possession of a Degree in Law would be an added advantage. Note: Training will be provided to the new incumbents by the department, and probation will be lifted only upon successful completion of the training.
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Candidates must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution or an equivalent qualification.
- Surveyor: (i) Candidates should have a Diploma or a two-year National Trade Certificate in Surveying from a recognized Institute or an equivalent qualification. (ii) Candidates must have two years of experience in Survey work.
- Patwari: Essential: Candidates should have a Graduate degree from any recognized University or an equivalent qualification. Desirable: i) Proficiency in computer skills. ii) Working knowledge of Urdu/Hindi. Note: Training will be provided to the new incumbents by the department, and probation will be lifted only upon successful completion of the training.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: i) Candidates should have passed the 12th class or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. ii) A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer is required (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.)
Age Limit: (As of 02.07.2023)
- Assistant Accounts Officer: Not exceeding 30 years
- Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Not exceeding 30 years
- Architectural Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years
- Legal Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years
- Naib Tehsildar: Between 21 to 30 years
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Between 18 to 27 years
- Surveyor: Between 18 to 25 years
- Patwari: Between 21 to 27 years
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Between 18 to 27 years
Candidates will be provided relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government rules. For more details, refer to the DDA official Notification 2023.
Salary Details:
- Assistant Accounts Officer: Level 8 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,800/-
- Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Level 7 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,600/-
- Architectural Assistant: Level 7 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,600/-
- Legal Assistant: Level 7 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,600/-
- Naib Tehsildar: Level 6 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,200/-
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Level 6 Pay Band: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800/- Grade Pay: ₹4,200/-
- Surveyor: Level 5 Pay Band: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200/- Grade Pay: ₹2,800/-
- Patwari: Level 3 Pay Band: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200/- Grade Pay: ₹2,000/-
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Level 2 Pay Band: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200/- Grade Pay: ₹1,900/-
DDA JE, JSA & AAO Selection Process 2023:
The online examination will be conducted at the level of the prescribed minimum qualification. The medium of the online examination will be Hindi/English for all categories of posts, except for Hindi/English Comprehension. The weightage of marks for the Computer Based Examination will be 85%, and the interview will carry 15% marks, wherever prescribed.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for DDA JE, JSA & AAO:
- The application fee for all categories of posts will be ₹1,000/-. Transaction charges of the bank and applicable taxes will be borne by the candidate.
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from paying the application fee.
Note: The applicants must pay the application fee as indicated in the table above through online payment mode only.
