Eastern Railway is inviting applications for various Apprentice positions as detailed below:

Eligibility Criteria for Eastern Railway Apprentice:
Educational Qualification:
Candidates applying for the Apprentice positions must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. Additionally, they should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Age Limit:
i. Candidates should be at least 15 years old but not more than 24 years old (as of the cut-off date for receiving applications). The age considered will be the one recorded in the Matriculation certificate issued by a government-recognized Board/Authority or the birth certificate issued by a government-recognized authority. No other documents like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, service records, etc., will be accepted.
ii. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.
iii. Candidates availing the benefits of the relaxed criteria must produce the relevant documents during the document verification process to verify their eligibility. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of their candidature under relaxed standards.
iv. An additional relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit is available for Ex-Servicemen (ex-serviceman) up to the extent of service rendered in the Defence Forces, plus an additional 03 years, provided they have completed a minimum of 06 months of continuous service, except for Ex-Servicemen who have already joined the Government Service on the Civil side after availing Ex-Servicemen status for their engagement.
Selection Process for Eastern Railway Apprentice 2023:
Eastern Railway may follow the following selection process:

Application Fee/Exam Fee for Eastern Railway Apprentice:
i. Application fees (non-refundable) amount to Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) only. However, SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt from paying the fee.
ii. The fee must be paid online through the ‘Payment Gateway’ available with the online Application Form while filling it out. Payment methods include Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking, etc. Any transaction charges for online payment will be borne by the candidate. In case of server issues affecting online payment due to high traffic, candidates should log in again and attempt the payment.
iii. During the online application submission, each applicant will receive a registration number, and it’s advisable to note and preserve this Registration Number.
