To be eligible for the position of ECGC Limited Probationary Officer (PO), candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
For the Accounts position, candidates must be an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (CA), Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
For the Legal position, candidates must have a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
For the Company Secretary position, candidates must be CS qualified with ACS membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
For the Actuary position, candidates must be a student member of the Institute of Actuaries of India who has cleared at least three papers including CM1, CS1, and CS2 or its previous equivalents.
For the IT position, candidates must have a B Tech or BE in Computer Science / Information Technology or MCA with a certificate course on Cyber Security of at least six months duration.
For the IT/CISO position, candidates must have a B Tech or BE in Computer Science / Information Technology/Computer engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation & ME/MTech/MS in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Information Security/Cyber Security. Candidates with core specialization in Cyber Security at PG level or certifications of CISSP/CISM/CompTIA CySA+/GSEC/OSCP will be given preference.
For the Country Underwriting/research position, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from a recognized University.
For the Rajbhasha/Hindi position, candidates must have one of the following qualifications: (i) Master’s degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level with a minimum of 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. (ii) Master’s degree in English with Hindi as core/elective/major subject at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. (iii) Master’s degree in any discipline with English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. (iv) Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.
For the Data Science position, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Data Science.
All educational qualifications must be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by the Government of India/approved by Government Regulatory Bodies. The final result should have been declared on or before 01.04.2023. Candidates must submit proper documentation from the Board/University at the time of the interview to prove that the result was declared on or before 01.04.2023.
Age Limit Criteria for ECGC Limited Probationary Officer (PO) Post as on 01.04.2023:
The minimum age for the Probationary Officer (PO) position is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 30 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for certain categories of candidates as per the government’s rules.
For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, for OBC candidates, it is relaxed by 3 years, and for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), it is relaxed by 10 years (15 years for SC/ST PWDs and 13 years for OBC PWDs).

Salary Details:

Selection Process for ECGC Limited Probationary Officer (PO) 2023:
ECGC Limited will follow a two-step selection process to hire candidates for the Probationary Officer (PO) position. The first step is an online examination, and the second step includes a Descriptive Paper (Test of English Language) and an Interview.
The online examination will take place at six centers, including Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

It was established in 1957 as the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India and later renamed in 2014 as ECGC Ltd. ECGC’s primary objective is to promote India’s exports by providing credit risk insurance and related services to Indian exporters.

History
India’s economy heavily relies on exports to generate foreign exchange and create jobs. However, the risks associated with international trade, such as non-payment by the importer, political instability in the importing country, and currency fluctuations, hinder exporters’ growth.

In 1964, ECGC became the first export credit insurance company in the world to introduce a rating system for countries based on their political and economic risks.
In 1983, ECGC launched its first software, ECGC Export Data Processing and Information Network (EDPIN), to automate its operations. EDPIN helped ECGC to provide faster services to exporters and expand its coverage.
In 2014, the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India was renamed ECGC Ltd. to align with the company’s vision and goals.
Today, ECGC is one of the leading export credit insurance companies in the world and provides various credit risk insurance and related services to Indian exporters.
Functions
ECGC’s primary function is to provide export credit insurance support to Indian exporters.
ECGC offers various insurance policies to cover exporters’ risks, such as non-payment by the importer, insolvency of the importer, political instability in the importing country, and currency fluctuations.
ECGC also offers guarantees to Indian banks and financial institutions that lend to exporters.
These guarantees provide protection against default on the export credit, and the lending institution can recover its dues from ECGC in case of non-payment by the exporter.
ECGC provides various services to exporters, such as market intelligence, export credit counseling, and trade information.
ECGC’s market intelligence helps exporters to identify potential markets and export opportunities.
