Eligibility criteria for FACT Technician and MT positions are as follows:
- Senior Manager (Civil): Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of executive experience in construction or maintenance departments in large Fertiliser/ Chemical/ Petrochemical Plants or large Engineering/ Civil Construction Firms. The last 3 years of experience should be in E3 grade or equivalent/higher grade if executives of CPSEs on IDA scales, i.e., Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 (if 2017 based IDA scales) or minimum CTC of Rs. 15 lakhs per annum if working in other establishments.
- Senior Manager (Human Resources & Administration): Applicants must have a two-year postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in HR or Personnel Management or Industrial Relations or Labour Welfare or Social Work (specialisation in Personnel/HR Management) or Business Administration (specialisation in Personnel/HR Management) and a minimum of 9 years of executive experience in Personnel/HR/Welfare/IR functions in a manufacturing unit/PSU. The last 3 years of experience should be in E3 grade or equivalent/higher grade if executives of CPSEs on IDA scales, i.e., Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 (if 2017 based IDA scales) or minimum CTC of Rs. 15 lakhs per annum if working in other establishments. A degree in Law is preferred as an additional qualification.
- Officer (Sales): Applicants must have a B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture with 60% marks.
- Management Trainee (Chemical): Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Chemical Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Petrochemical Technology) with 60% marks.
- Management Trainee (Electrical): Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics or Electrical & Instrumentation) with 60% marks.
- Management Trainee (Instrumentation): Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Instrumentation or Electrical & Instrumentation) with 60% marks.
- Management Trainee (Marketing): Applicants must have a two-year postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Management (with specialization or elective in Marketing Management/Agri Business Management) with 60% marks.

- Technician (Process): Applicants must have a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology (including Petrochemical Technology)) and two years of experience in the operation of a large Fertilizer/ Chemical/Petrochemical Plants. If there are insufficient candidates with the prescribed experience of 2 years, candidates with the prescribed qualification and one to two years of prescribed experience will be considered. In the absence of candidates with experience, SC/ST candidates without experience will also be considered for reserved posts.
- The position of Technician (Process) Sanitary Inspector requires a candidate who has completed their Standard X education and obtained a diploma in Sanitary Inspector Course from a recognized institution. Additionally, the candidate should possess five years of experience in sanitary administration of industrial establishments, hospitals, or government bodies. Ex-servicemen who have an equivalency/trade certificate with prescribed experience in the field issued by the Armed Forces are also eligible to apply. However, only experience in the trade after acquiring Class 1 HASST (from Defence services) will be treated as relevant experience for this post.
- To be considered for the role of Craftsman (Fitter Cum Mechanic), the candidate must have completed their Standard X education and obtained a National Trade Certificate in the trade of Fitter/Mechanic. Furthermore, they should have at least two years of experience in the trade in a large Fertilizer/Chemical/Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in the Engineering Industry. In the absence of sufficient suitable candidates with the prescribed experience of two years, candidates with the prescribed qualifications and one to two years of prescribed experience will be considered. SC/ST candidates without experience will also be considered against reserved posts if candidates with experience are not available.
- The position of Craftsman (Electrical) requires a candidate who has completed their Standard X education and obtained a National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrician with a Wireman license. The candidate should also possess at least two years of experience as an Electrician in a large Fertilizer/Chemical/Petrochemical Plants/Electrical Power Generation Plants/Electrical Power Distribution Companies or large establishments in the Engineering Industry. In the absence of sufficient suitable candidates with the prescribed experience of two years, candidates with the prescribed qualifications and one to two years of experience will be considered. SC/ST candidates without experience will also be considered against reserved posts if candidates with experience are not available.
- The role of Craftsman (Instrumentation) requires a candidate who has completed their Standard X education and obtained a National Trade Certificate in the trade of Instrumentation. Additionally, they should possess at least two years of experience as a Craftsman Instrumentation in a large Fertilizer/Chemical/Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in the Engineering Industry. In the absence of sufficient suitable candidates with the prescribed experience of two years, candidates with the prescribed qualifications and one to two years of prescribed experience will be considered. SC/ST candidates without experience will also be considered against reserved posts if candidates with experience are not available.
- The position of Rigger Assistant requires a candidate who has completed their Standard X education and possesses at least five years of experience in Materials handling, Rigging jobs, and other works related to plant/equipment/maintenance in a large Fertilizer/Chemical/Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in the Engineering Industry. Additionally, the candidate should have good physique and physical stamina.
The following information pertains to the age limit and salary details for various posts at The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (FACT). The age limit for Senior Managers (Post Codes 1 & 2) is a maximum of 45 years, while Officer (Sales) / Management Trainees (Post Codes 3 to 8) have a maximum age limit of 26, 29, and 31 for UR/EWS, OBC-NCL, and SC/ST categories respectively.
