Eligibility Criteria:

1. Research Associate (RA):

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Botany/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience. Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines must have obtained a first division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in their Bachelor’s degree, along with at least three years of research experience. Additionally, candidates must have at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI)/ NAAS rated (≥4.0) Journal.
• Desirable Qualifications: Candidates should have experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, and scientific writing, as evidenced from publications.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF):

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Botany/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Basic Sciences must have a NET/ GATE qualification and two years of research experience.
• Desirable Qualifications: Similar to the Research Associate position, candidates should have experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, and scientific writing, as evidenced from publications.

3. Young Professional II (YPII):

• Educational Qualification: Postgraduates in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Botany/ any relevant discipline of life sciences or graduate degree holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences/ Engineering/ Technology.
• Desirable Qualifications: Similar to the Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow positions, candidates should have experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, and scientific writing, as evidenced from publications.

Age Limit:

• Research Associate (RA): Maximum 40 years for men; 45 years for women
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Maximum 35 years for men; 40 years for women
• Young Professional II (YPII): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 45 years
• Relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years), and other eligible categories shall be applicable as per GoI/ ICAR rules.

Salary Details:

• Research Associate (RA): Rs.49,000+ HRA per month (for Master Degree holders with 3-year experience) Or Rs.54,000 + HRA per month (for PhD degree holders)
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs.31,000 + HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year & Rs.35,000 per month + HRA for 3rd year
• Young Professional II (YPII): Rs.42,000 per month (Fixed)
