- With Doctoral degree: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Botany/ any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience.
- With Master’s degree holders: Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Botany/ any relevant discipline of life science with desirable experience, along with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, genome editing of plants, scientific writing.
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF) –
- Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Life sciences/ Microbiology) with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, genome editing of plants, scientific writing.
- Young Professional II (YP II) –
- Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Life sciences/ Microbiology) or graduate degree holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences/ Engineering/ Technology.

Salary Details:
- Research Associate (RA) – Rs. 49,000 + HRA per Month
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year & Rs. 35,000 per month + HRA for 3rd year
- Young Professional II (YP II) – Rs. 42,000 per month (Fixed)
