CSIR-IGIB is inviting applications for the following positions:

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Scientist:

1. Essential: Ph.D. thesis submitted in Biological Sciences/Computer Science/Informatics OR M.Tech. in Computer Science/Data Science.
2. Desirable: Thesis work on Genome Informatics, with at least one first-author publication in informatics in an internationally reputed journal.

2. Scientist:

2. Essential: Ph.D. thesis submitted in Biological Sciences/Computer Science/Informatics OR M.Tech. in Computer Science/Data Science.
3. Desirable: Thesis work on Genomics, with at least one first-author publication in informatics in an internationally reputed journal.

3. Scientist:

3. Essential: ME/M.Tech. OR BTech/MSc with PG degree in Intellectual Property Law (1st class or 60% or equivalent GPA).
4. Desirable: Understanding of scientific documentation with 2 years’ experience in IPR management, technology transfer, technology marketing, negotiations with excellent communication and writing skills.

4. Scientist:

4. Essential: ME/M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering/Computer Sciences.
5. Desirable: ME/M.Tech. project/thesis work relevant to biomedical engineering.

5. Scientist:

5. Essential: Ph.D. thesis submitted in any branch of Biological Sciences.
6. Desirable: Thesis work on neurodevelopment with a deep understanding of neurobiology and pathways involved in neurodevelopment. Demonstrable hands-on experience in animal models of neurodevelopment with at least one first-author publication in the field in an internationally reputed journal on neurobiology.

6. Scientist:

6. Essential: Ph.D. thesis submitted in any branch of Biological Sciences.
7. Desirable: Thesis work on single-cell transcriptomics analysis techniques with a special focus on cancer immunology or cell-cell immunological signaling. At least one first-author publication in these fields in an internationally reputed journal.

7. Senior Scientist:

7. Essential: Ph.D. in any branch of Science with 2 years of post-doctoral experience in microbiology.
8. Desirable: Thesis and postdoctoral work on Microbiology with a focus on the evolution of antimicrobial resistance with publications in reputed journals as the first or lead author on microbiology.

8. Senior Scientist:

8. Essential: PhD in any branch of science with 2 years of post-doctoral experience in single molecule microscopy and imaging.
9. Desirable: Thesis and postdoctoral work on single molecule imaging and super-resolution microscopy with publications in reputed journals as the first or lead author in this area.

Age Limit: (As on 23.12.2023)

1. Scientist – 32 years
2. Senior Scientist – 37 years

2. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.

Salary Details:

1. Scientist – Rs. 67,700-208,700/- Total 1,27,633/-
2. Senior Scientist – Rs. 78,800-209,200/- Total 1,46,836/-

Selection Process:

CSIR-IGIB may follow the subsequent process to select the candidates:

1. Interview

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs.500/- as per the ‘fee payment Procedure’ available on the website. No fee is payable for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/ExServicemen/Abroad candidates. Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected.
