Eligibility Criteria:

1. Technical Assistant – 230101 (Biology services)

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Life Sciences) or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks and one year of experience in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/Organization.
• Desirable experience: Hands-on knowledge of various molecular biology techniques, biochemical methods, cell culture or animal handling, collection and processing of body fluids, library preparation, sequencing, and/or analysis on next-generation sequencing platforms, and basic computer skills.

2. Technical Assistant – 230102 (Engineering Division Mechanical/ Electrical)

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Air conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering or Electrical engineering of at least 3 years full-time duration with a minimum of 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant area/field.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in the maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) plant in a multistoried R&D environment.

3. Technical Assistant – 230103 (Engineering Division-Electrical)

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering of at least 3 years full-time duration with a minimum of 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant area/field.
• Desirable experience: Experience in maintaining substations and electrical maintenance in multistoried buildings, preferably in a scientific environment.

4. Technical Assistant – 230104 (Engineering Division-Civil)

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering of at least 3 years full-time duration with a minimum of 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant area/field.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in supervision, renovation, and maintenance of R&D-related civil constructions in multistoried buildings.

5. Technical Assistant – 230105 (IT)

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications of at least 3 years full-time duration with a minimum of 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant area/field, or B.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications) or equivalent with 60% marks and one year of experience.
• Desirable experience: Domain expertise in different operating systems, working knowledge of the latest Linux or Windows server, fiber and Ethernet cabling structures, enterprise-wide computer networks, firewalls, security compliances, servers, VPN, and network monitoring.

6. Technical Assistant – 230106 (BDMG)

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks and one year of experience in the relevant discipline.
• Desirable experience: Experience in marketing/management of biological, clinical, and omics-based services, liaison with academic, research, and industrial institutions, excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer operations, and financial accounting.

7. Technical Assistant – 230107 (HR)

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Natural Sciences) or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks and one year of experience in the relevant discipline.
• Desirable experience: Experience in human resource development, database management, interface with students, educators, and teachers, interpersonal skills, and basic computer aptitude with MS Excel, Word, online form designing.

8. Technical Assistant – 230108 (PME)

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Natural Sciences) or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks and one year of experience in the relevant discipline.
• Desirable experience: Experience in scientific project management, financial budgeting & monitoring, scientometric analysis & reporting, working exposure of ERP or MIS, excellent interpersonal skills, and basic computer aptitude with MS Excel, Word, online form designing.

Age Limit: (As on 23.12.2023)

• Technical Assistant – 28 Years
• The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India rules.

Salary Details:

• Technical Assistant – Rs. 35,400-112,400/- Total 66,498/-

Selection Process:

• The candidates recommended by the Screening Committee will undergo a Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the competitive written examination.

Application Fee:

• Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- as per the ‘fee payment Procedure’ available on the website. No fee is payable for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/Ex-Servicemen.
