Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
(i) For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:
- Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks. Those in the final year are eligible, provided they secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of the degree course. Such candidates need to secure an overall aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks in the degree course if selected in the interview, failing which their candidature will be CANCELLED.
- Service in NCC: Should have served for a minimum of two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.
- Grading: Should have obtained a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in the ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.
Age Limit: For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties): 19 to 25 years as of 01 Jul 2024 (born not earlier than 02 Jul 1999 and not later than 01 Jul 2005; both dates inclusive).

Military Service Pay (MSP): MSP to officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier ₹ 15,500/- p.m. fixed.
Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training: Stipend to Gentlemen or Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at OTA: Rs.56,100/- p.m. (*On successful commissioning, the pay in the Pay Matrix of the Officer Commissioned shall be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10, and the period of training shall not be treated as commissioned service.)
Selection Process:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications: Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting applications without assigning any reason. After shortlisting, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email.
(b) Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (Punjab). Call-up letters for the SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only.
(c) Candidates will undergo a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Duration of SSB interview is five days.
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training based on merit and subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
