Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD & DB) and Yantrik Positions:
Educational Qualification:
- Navik (General Duty) – Must have passed Class 10th from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
- Navik (Domestic Branch) – Should have completed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
- Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) – Must have passed Class 10th from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and possess a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of a duration of 03 or 04 years approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Alternatively, candidates can have passed Class 10th and 12th from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” hold a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of a duration of 02 or 03 years approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Age Limit:
- Navik (General Duty) – Candidates should be between 18 and 22 years old. They must have been born between 01 May 2002 and 30 Apr 2006 (inclusive) to apply for the positions of Navik (DB), Navik (GD), and Yantrik. Note: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
Salary Details:
- Navik (General Duty) – Basic pay of Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level-3) in addition to Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting as per prevailing regulations.
- Navik (Domestic Branch) – Basic Pay of Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level-3) along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting as per prevailing regulations.
- Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) – Basic pay of Rs. 29,200/- (Pay Level-5). Additionally, candidates will receive Yantrik pay at Rs. 6,200/- along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting as per prevailing regulations.
Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD & DB) and Yantrik 2023:
The Indian Coast Guard will follow this selection process:
- Stage-I (Computer Based Examination)
- Stage-II (Assessment/Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification & Initial Medical Examination)
- Stage-III (Final Merit List, Document Verification, Final Medical Examination at INS Chilka, Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification, and Other Associated Forms)
Application Fee/Exam Fee for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD & DB) and Yantrik:
Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from the fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) through online mode using net banking, Visa/Master/Maestro/Rupay Credit/Debit Card, or UPI. E-admit cards will be issued only to candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and are eligible for a fee waiver.
