Position name and number of vacancies: Eligible unmarried male and female applicants are invited to apply for the Indian Navy’s Short Service Commission (SSC) Award in Information Technology (Executive Branch) under the Orientation Course Special Navy from June 2023 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Qualification for Indian Navy Recruitment SSC Officer 2023

Education level:
A candidate must have at least 60% English mark in Grade X or XII and one of the qualifications listed below with at least 60% overall qualifying score, in either of the following:-

(a) MSc/ BE/ B Tech/ M Tech (Computer Science/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Systems/ Network Security/ System Administration and networks/ Computer systems and networks/ Data analytics/ Artificial intelligence ), OR (b) MCA with BCA/BSc (Computer Science/Information Technology).

Note 1). (a) These vacancies are temporary and subject to change depending on the availability of training positions.

(b) NCC candidate. NCC `C` certificate holders will receive a 5% reduction in their cut-off points for SSB screening subject to meeting the following criteria:-

(i) Hold a `C` certificate from the Navy/Army/Air Force NCC with a minimum score of `B`. (ii) Served a minimum of two academic years in the senior division, NCC Naval/Army/Air Wing. (iii) Certificate “C” is not issued before June 1, 2020.

Note 2). The final selection will depend on verification of the validity of the certificate issued by the relevant DG NCC/NCC unit. An individual’s application will be destroyed at any stage of the selection/training/appointment process, in case of misrepresentation, false information, concealment of information.

Navy SSC IT Recruitment 2023: Indian Navy has released the latest notification for the recruitment of unmarried Men & Women candidates for the Short Service Commission (SSC) in Information Technology (IT) under the Special Naval Orientation Course commencing from Jun 2023. Eligible candidates can apply online for Navy SSC IT Officer (Executive Branch) from the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. All the details related to Navy SSC IT Recruitment 2023 are given below

Selection Process for this Job:

The selection process is as follows:-
(a) The shortlist of applications will be based on the standardized scores achieved by eligible candidates. The scores obtained by candidates for the qualifying degree will be normalized using the formulas mentioned on the website https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf.

(b) BE/B Tech. For applicants who have completed or are in their final year of BE/B Tech, grades obtained up to the fifth semester will be taken into account for SSB pre-selection.

(c) Postgraduate Diploma Program. For applicants who have completed a Master/MCA/M Tech program, grades obtained in all semesters will be considered. For final year students enrolled in a Master/MCA/M Tech program, grades obtained up to the senior year will be considered.

(d) Shortlisted candidates will be notified of their selection for an SSB interview via email or SMS (provided by applicants in their application form).

Candidates are advised not to change their email address/mobile number until the selection process is complete.

(f) Change of SSB center for examination/interview is not permitted under any circumstances.

(g) The applicant must upload a letter of complaint upon receipt of notification from the Department of Defense IHQ(N) via SMS/email (provided by the applicant in their application). All correspondence regarding changes to the SSB’s date must be forwarded to the appropriate SSB Complaints Officer upon receipt of the letter of appeal.

(h) No compensation for test-related injuries at SSB interviews.

(j) A 3-tier AC rail fare is eligible for SSB maintenance, if it comes first for a particular type of commission.

Candidates are required to bring a copy of the first page of the passbook or check with the name, A/C number and IFSC details, when appearing to the SSB.
