Eligibility Criteria for IRCON Works Engineer:
As of March 1st, 2023, the following are the essential qualifications and post-qualification experience requirements for the position of Works Engineer on a contract basis:
- Works Engineer/Civil:
- Full-time graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute approved by AICTE/UGC, with a minimum of 60% marks
- At least one year of experience in civil construction works
- Works Engineer/Electrical:
- Full-time graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute approved by AICTE/UGC, with a minimum of 60% marks
- At least one year of experience in electrical construction works
- Works Engineer/S&T:
- Full-time graduate degree in Engineering/Technology from a reputed institute or university approved by AICTE in any of the following specializations:
- Electronics Engg.
- Electrical & Electronics Engg.
- Electronics & Communication Engg.
- Electronics & Instrumentation Engg.
- At least one year of experience in areas of electronic interlocking, relay interlocking, automatic signaling, digital communication/GSM-R/optic fiber commn.
Age Limit (As of 01.03.2023):
- Works Engineer/Civil (contract basis) – Maximum age limit is 30 years.
- Works Engineer/Electrical (contract basis) – Maximum age limit is 30 years.
- Works Engineer/S&T (contract basis) – Maximum age limit is 30 years.
However, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the rules of the Government of India. Candidates can refer to the IRCON official Notification 2023 for more information.
Salary Details:
- Works Engineer/Civil (contract basis) – Rs. 36,000/- per month.
- Works Engineer/Electrical (contract basis) – Rs. 36,000/- per month.
- Works Engineer/S&T (contract basis) – Rs. 36,000/- per month.
IRCON Works Engineer Selection Process 2023:
The selection process for IRCON Works Engineer may include a walk-in-interview.
How to Apply for IRCON Works Engineer Post:
Candidates who meet the required essential qualifications can appear for the walk-in-interview at the institute. They must bring all original and self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials and a valid identity proof (Voter ID card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhar Card) along with one passport-size photograph. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview without the original certificates.
