MOIL Graduate Trainee Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

  1. Graduate Trainee (Mines): Candidates must possess a B.E/B. Tech degree in Mining or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks. During the probation period, the candidate must submit a copy of the application submitted to DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) along with valid Gas testing and first aid certificates. Additionally, candidates should have 1 year of experience in the Company to obtain a 2nd class Mine Manager’s certificate of competency (unrestricted) under MMR, 1961 DGMS.
  2. Graduate Trainee (Mechanical): Aspiring candidates should have a B.E/B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
  3. Manager (Survey): Option 1:
  • Graduation from a recognized university/institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
    • Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.
    • Surveyor’s Certificate of competency (Unrestricted) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in surveying underground mining, out of which 2 years’ experience (1 year for internal candidates) in the immediate lower scale (IDA) i.e., Rs. 40,000-140,000 or equivalent (CDA).

Option 2:

  • Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks along with Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted).
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in surveying underground mining, out of which 2 years’ experience (1 year for internal candidates) in the immediate lower scale (IDA) i.e., Rs. 40,000-140,000 or equivalent (CDA).

For candidates from the private sector, the Cost to Company (CTC) should be a minimum of Rs. 8.90 lakh per annum.

Age Limit: (As on 15.08.2023)

  1. Graduate Trainee (Mines): Maximum age limit is 30 years.
  2. Graduate Trainee (Mechanical): Maximum age limit is 30 years.
  3. Manager (Survey): Maximum age limit is 35 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Govt. of India rules. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. rules. For more reference, candidates should go through the MOIL official Notification 2023.

Salary Details:

Selected candidates will be placed as Graduate Trainees in E-2 Grade in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- at the initial Basic of Rs. 50,000/- per month as a consolidated amount during the training period. On successful and satisfactory completion of the 1-year training period, they will be regularized in E-2 Grade in the scale of pay of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- with the initial Basic of Rs. 50,000/- on probation for 1 year as per the Company’s rules. For the Manager (Survey) post, the selected candidate will be placed in the scale of E-2 grade of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000/- on probation for 1 year.

In addition to the Basic pay, candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, perquisites and allowances under the cafeteria approach, and other allowances including Performance Related Pay (PRP) as applicable for the post.

Other benefits such as Leave, Free Medical Attention, Contributory Provident Fund, Family Pension, Insurance Linked Gratuity, Group Superannuation Cash Accumulation Scheme (Defined Contribution), etc., will also be provided. The actual remuneration may vary depending on the place of posting, financial performance of the Company, and individual performance rating.

MOIL Graduate Trainee Selection Process 2023:

Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria. Admission to the Computer Based Online Test will be purely provisional, and the candidature will be subject to verification of details/documents during the interview stage, if shortlisted, or at any stage of the recruitment process/appointment.

Candidates can apply for only one post, and in case of multiple applications, only the latest valid (completed) application will be retained, and the application fee paid for other multiple registrations will stand forfeited. The selection process will consist of two stages:

  1. Computer Based Online Test
  2. Personal Interview

The Computer Based Online Test will be conducted in Bengaluru, New Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai/ Thane/MMR Region, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhopal & Nagpur.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for MOIL Graduate Trainee:

Candidates belonging to GENERAL (UR)/EWS/OBC (Creamy Layer & Non-Creamy Layer) category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 590/- (including GST). SC/ST/PwD candidates/EXS/Employees of MOIL Limited are exempted from the payment of the application fee. The application fee must be paid through online mode only. Other modes of payment will not be accepted. Candidates are advised to deposit the fee in the correct account to avoid any discrepancies.
