Indian Coast Guard MTS & Driver Recruitment 2023: Educational Qualifications, Age Limit, Salary, and Application Process
Educational Qualification:
1. Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) –
- 10th standard pass
- Must possess a valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in driving Motor Vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism (able to address minor defects in vehicles).
2. Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled) –
- Matriculation or equivalent.
- Successful completion of apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) under Apprentice Act, 1961, or any other recognized Apprenticeship scheme. OR
- Completion of training courses in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) from an ITI recognized for this purpose and having 1-year trade experience. OR 4 years of experience in the trade with no available training in the Industrial Training Institutes or other recognized institutions.
- Qualification in a trade entrance examination.
3. Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport Cleaner) –
- Matriculation or equivalent pass.
- Experience: Two years of experience in a mechanical workshop.
4. Multi Tasking Staff (Sweeper) –
- Matriculation or equivalent pass.
- Experience: Two years of experience in cleanliness in any recognized firm.
5. Multi Tasking Staff (Chowkidar) –
- Matriculation or equivalent pass.
- Experience: Two years of experience as a Chowkidar in any recognized institution/organization.
6. Unskilled Labour –
- Matriculation pass or its equivalent from a recognized board or ITI from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Three years of experience in the trade.
Age Limit: (As of 18.09.2023)
- Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) – 18 to 27 years
- Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled) – 18 to 27 years
- Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport Cleaner) – 18 to 27 years
- Multi Tasking Staff (Sweeper) – 18 to 27 years
- Multi Tasking Staff (Chowkidar) – 18 to 27 years
- Unskilled Labour – 18 to 27 years
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD, 13 years for OBC PWD), and as per Ex-Servicemen rules.
