NIELIT’s selection process may include a written test followed by a walk-in or online interview.

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is a premier organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in India. It was formerly known as the DOEACC Society, which was established in 1990 to promote high-quality education in the field of electronics and information technology. The primary objective of NIELIT is to develop and promote human resources in the areas of electronics, information technology, and related fields. History
The DOEACC Society, which later became NIELIT, was established in 1990 by the Department of Electronics (DoE) under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The primary objective of DOEACC was to develop and promote high-quality education in the field of electronics and information technology. Over the years, DOEACC expanded its activities to include the development of information technology infrastructure, software development, and consultancy services.
In 2002, DOEACC was transferred to the Ministry of Information Technology (now known as the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). In 2011, DOEACC was renamed as the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT).
Objectives
The primary objective of NIELIT is to develop and promote human resources in the areas of electronics, information technology, and related fields. It aims to achieve this objective by offering various courses, conducting research and development activities, and providing consultancy services. The specific objectives of NIELIT are:
- To provide high-quality education and training in the fields of electronics and information technology.
- To develop and promote the use of information technology for the benefit of society.
- To undertake research and development activities in the areas of electronics and information technology.
- To provide consultancy services to government agencies and private organizations in the areas of electronics and information technology.
