Educational Qualification:
Candidates applying for the TNUSRB SI (Taluk, AR & TSP) exam must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC/Government at the time of Notification.
The Bachelor’s Degree should have been obtained in any of the following patterns:
a) After completion of SSLC and Higher Secondary course in the order of 10+2+3/4/5 pattern or b) After completion of SSLC and Diploma in the order of 10+3+2 / 10+3+3 pattern or c) After completion of SSLC and ITI in the order of 10+2+3 pattern.
Candidates can obtain a Bachelor’s degree through Open University/Distance Education/College. However, candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree through Open Universities without following the above-mentioned patterns will not be eligible.
Age Limit: (As on 01.07.2023)
Candidates should be at least 20 years old and should not be more than 30 years old as of July 1st in the Notification year. The following categories are eligible for upper age limit relaxation:

The Tamil Nadu Government’s Community Certificate is the only valid proof for communal reservation. There are two special quotas available for candidates applying for police constable and head constable positions:
A. Departmental Quota: 20% of the available positions are reserved for departmental quota candidates. To be eligible, candidates must have completed 5 years of service as of the notification date. The written examination for departmental quota candidates is conducted separately.
B. Sports Quota: 10% of the available positions are reserved for sports quota candidates. To be eligible, candidates must meet the requirements for open candidates and provide either Form-I, Form-II, or Form-III for one of the approved 16 games/sports within the past 5 years prior to the notification date. The certificates required for claiming sports quota are as follows:

Concessions for special categories include:
A. Ex-servicemen/Ex-personnel of Central Para-Military Forces/Serving Persons who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of application: i. Age relaxation up to 47 years ii. Eligibility for those who have not completed 3 years after discharge from service and serving Armed Forces/CPMF personnel who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of online application.
B. Destitute Widow: i. Age relaxation up to 37 years ii. Need to obtain a “Destitute Widow Certificate” from the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub-Collector/Assistant Collector and upload it with the online application.
Transgender candidates will receive age relaxation up to 35 years and can identify themselves as male, female, or third gender for Physical Measurement Test, Endurance Test, Physical Efficiency Test. If they apply under the third gender category, they will be treated as women candidates and receive a 30% reservation. If they produce their community certificate, they will receive the benefit of communal reservation. If they do not produce their community certificate, they will be treated as Most Backward Class category.
