The Indian Council of Medical Research- National Institute for Research in Tribal Health (ICMR-NIRTH) has released a notification inviting applications for the posts of Project Assistant, Project Technician-III / Laboratory Technician, and Project Technician-II (Health Assistant). The recruitment is for a project titled “Prevalence of Sickle Cell Disease in Tribal Population of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh: A Comprehensive Study” which is sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 12th in Science subject and have a two-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or a one-year DMLT plus one year of required experience in a recognized organization or two years of field/laboratory experience. A B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years’ experience.
Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have experience of carrying out laboratory work, preferably the diagnosis of Sickle Cell Disease in a government, autonomous, PSU, or recognized organization.
Project Technician-II (Health Assistant)
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed High School or equivalent with five years of experience in the healthcare field from a Government institution or recognized institute or have a certificate of one-year training in the relevant area. Intermediate with science subject and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years’ experience, respectively.
Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have at least one-year experience of supervision or carrying out fieldwork/laboratory work related to Sickle Cell Disease in government, autonomous, PSU, recognized organization/projects.
