ICMR-NJIL&OMD Technician Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Technician -1 (Life Sciences):

• Must have passed 12th or intermediate in science subjects with 55% marks from a government recognized Board.
  • Should have completed at least a one-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a government recognized institution.

• Technician -1 (Computer Science/Information Technology):

• Must have passed 12th or intermediate in science subjects with 55% marks from a government recognized Board.
  • Should have completed at least a one-year Diploma in computer science/information technology from a government recognized institution.

• Technician -1 (Electrical Engineering):

• Must have passed 12th or intermediate in science subjects with 55% marks from a government recognized Board.
  • Should have completed at least a one-year Diploma in electrical engineering from a government recognized institution.

• Technician -1 (Veterinary Sciences):

• Must have passed 12th or intermediate in science subjects with 55% marks from a government recognized Board.
  • Should have completed at least a one-year Diploma in Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry from a government recognized institution.

• Technician -1 (Driver Cum Mechanic – Light Motor Vehicle):

• Must have passed 12th or intermediate in science subjects with 55% marks from a government recognized Board.
  • Should have completed at least a one-year Diploma in Driver Cum Mechanic (Light Motor Vehicle) from a government recognized institution.

• Laboratory Attendant – 1:

• Must have passed 10th with 50% marks in aggregate from a government recognized board.
  • Should have one year of working experience in a government recognized/approved/registered Laboratory or ITI in any field or trade certificate from government agencies.

• Technical Assistant (Life Science):

• Should have a first-class Bachelor’s Degree (minimum three years’ duration) in Life Sciences from a recognized university.
  • The degree should have at least one of the following subjects: Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Science, Virology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or Parasitology.

• Technical Assistant (Medical Lab Technology):

• Should have a first-class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University.
  • Alternatively, should have a first-class three-year duration diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institute with 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.

• Technical Assistant (Veterinary Science):

• Should have a first-class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry from a recognized University.
  • Alternatively, should have a first-class three-year duration diploma in Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry from a recognized institute with 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.

1. Technical Assistant (Computer Science/Information Technology):

• Should have a first-class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized University.
  • Alternatively, should have a first-class three-year duration diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized institute with 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Or, should have a first-class Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.

1. Technical Assistant (Electrical Engineering):

• Should have a first-class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Alternatively, should have a first-class three-year duration diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute with 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Or, should have a first-class Engineering/Technology degree in Electrical Engineering.

1. Technical Assistant (Instrumentation):

• Should have a first-class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Instrumentation from a recognized University.
  • Alternatively, should have a first-class three-year duration diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation from a recognized institute with 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Or, should have a first-class Engineering/Technology degree in Biomedical Instrumentation.

Age Limit: (As on 28.07.2023)

1. Technician -1 (Life Sciences): Maximum 28 years
2. Technician -1 (Computer Science/Information Technology): Maximum 28 years
3. Technician -1 (Electrical Engineering): Maximum 28 years
4. Technician -1 (Veterinary Sciences): Maximum 28 years
5. Technician -1 (Driver Cum Mechanic – Light Motor Vehicle): Maximum 28 years
6. Laboratory Attendant – 1: 18 to 25 years
7. Technical Assistant (Life Science): Maximum 30 years
8. Technical Assistant (Medical Lab Technology): Maximum 30 years
9. Technical Assistant (Veterinary Science): Maximum 30 years
10. Technical Assistant (Computer Science/Information Technology): Maximum 30 years
11. Technical Assistant (Electrical Engineering): Maximum 30 years
12. Technical Assistant (Instrumentation): Maximum 30 years

Note: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. 4. Technician -1 (Veterinary Sciences): Pay Level -2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200)
5. Technician -1 (Driver Cum Mechanic – Light Motor Vehicle): Pay Level -2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200)
6. Laboratory Attendant – 1: Pay Level -1 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900)
7. Technical Assistant (Life Science): Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
8. Technical Assistant (Medical Lab Technology): Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
9. Technical Assistant (Veterinary Science): Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
10. Technical Assistant (Computer Science/Information Technology): Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
11. Technical Assistant (Electrical Engineering): Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)

ICMR-NJIL&OMD Technician Selection Process 2023:

The selection process for ICMR-NJIL&OMD Technician may include the following stages:

1. Written Exam
2. Certificate Verification

Application Fee/Exam Fee for ICMR-NJIL&OMD Technician:

Applicants are requiredto pay an application fee of Rs. 300/- (Three Hundred only) through a Demand Draft payable at Agra in favor of “Director, ICMR-National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra”. However, the application fee is exempted for SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Women candidates, and Ex-Servicemen.

How to apply for ICMR-NJIL&OMD Technician Post:

Candidates applying for the positions of Technical Assistant, Technician-1, and Laboratory Attendant-1 should follow these steps to complete the application:

1. Fill out the application form (PART -I) completely, and for clauses that are not applicable or relevant, write “Not Applicable (NA)”.
2. In PART – II, provide your Name, Post Code, Name of the post applied for, gender, category, and correspondence address. The Examination Centre, roll No., and application no. will be filled by the Office. Sign the Admit Card in Part-II only during the written test. Do not sign the Admit Card while submitting the Application Form.
3. Send the duly completed application form, including PART-1 and PART-II, in a sealed envelope. Write “Application for the post of (Name of the post)” on the envelope.
4. The envelope should be sent through Speed Post/Registered post (applications by hand will not be received) to the following address: The Director, ICMR-National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Dr. M. Miyazaki Marg, Tajganj, Agra – 282001
5. The application should reach the institute by the latest deadline of 28.07.2023.
6. Along with the application form, include a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/- (Three Hundred only) through a Demand Draft payable at Agra in favor of “Director, ICMR-National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra”. However, SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Women candidates, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the application fee.
