Indian Army NCC Special Entry Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
(i) For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders.
(aa) Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, considering all the years. Candidates in the final year are also eligible to apply provided they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of the three/four-year degree course, respectively. Such students must secure an overall aggregate of at least 50% marks in the degree course if selected for the interview. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature.
(ab) Service in NCC: Should have served for a minimum of two/three years (as applicable) in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.
(ac) Grading: Should have obtained a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in the ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants who do not hold an NCC ‘C’ Certificate at the time of application are not eligible for this course.
Note 1: For Graduates: Candidates who have passed the graduation degree course must submit the provisional/degree certificate by April 1, 2024, to the Directorate General of Recruiting. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature.
Note 2: For Candidates Studying in the Final Year of Degree Course: Candidates in the final year of graduation, who do not already possess a provisional/degree certificate, must submit proof of passing the graduation degree exam along with mark sheets of all the semesters by April 1, 2024, to the Directorate General of Recruiting.
Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature. Candidates unable to produce the degree certificate/provisional degree certificate by the specified date will be inducted on an Additional Bond Basis only upon submission of proof of passing the graduation degree exam along with mark sheets of all semesters to the Directorate General of Recruiting by the aforementioned date.
Note 3: Candidates appearing for their final year/final semester exams scheduled after October 1, 2023, are not eligible to apply for this course.
Note 4: Candidates who have not yet passed their graduation degree examination will be eligible only if they are in the final year of the degree examination. Such candidates must submit proof of passing the graduation degree examination along with all mark sheets by the specified date. No request for an extension of this date will be entertained due to late conduct of the basic qualifying university examination, delay in the declaration of results, or any other grounds.
Age Limit: For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties), the age limit is 19 to 25 years as of January 1, 2024 (born between January 2, 1999, and January 1, 2005, inclusive).

Captain Level 10B: Rs. 61,300-1,93,900/-
Major Level 11: Rs. 69,400-2,07,200/-
Lieutenant Colonel Level 12A: Rs. 1,21,200-2,12,400/-
Colonel Level 13: Rs. 1,30,600-2,15,900/-
Brigadier Level 13A: Rs. 1,39,600-2,17,600/-
Major General Level 14: Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200/-
Lieutenant General HAG Scale Level 15: Rs. 1,82,200-2,24,100/-

Indian Army NCC Special Entry Selection Process 2023:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications: Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications without assigning any reason. After shortlisting, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via email. Candidates must log in to the website to select their SSB dates, which will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis initially. Later, the Selection Centres will allot the dates. The option to select SSB dates may be forfeited due to exceptional circumstances/events.
(b) Selection Centres and Call-Up: Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres in Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (Punjab). Call-up letters for the SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centre through candidates’ registered email and SMS. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), and no requests for changes will be entertained.
(c) Selection Procedure: Candidates will go through a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II. Candidates failing in Stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days, and detailed information is available on the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting: Medical examination will follow for the candidates recommended after Stage II.
(d) Joining and Training: Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued joining letters for training in order of merit, based on the number of vacancies available and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
