QCI Examiner Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Bio-Technology: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Bio-Technology, Micro Biology, Molecular Biology, Bio Physics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Bio-Chemistry: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry or an equivalent qualification.
- Food Technology: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Chemistry: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Polymer Science and Technology: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Polymer Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Bio-Medical Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Electronics & Communication: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Electrical Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Computer Science & Information Technology: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
- Physics: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Physics or an equivalent qualification.
- Civil Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Mechanical Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Metallurgical Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Metallurgy or an equivalent qualification.
- Textile Engineering: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering/Technology or an equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates must hold a degree in any of the above disciplines from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other educational institutions established by an Act of the Parliament, or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Age Limit: (As on 04.08.2023)
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 35 years as of the last date of submission of the online application.
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules. Candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government rules. Refer to the QCI official Notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Details:
Level 10 in Pay Matrix (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) plus applicable allowances, as admissible, in the Government of India.
QCI Examiner Selection Process 2023:
QCI will follow the following process to select candidates:
i. Preliminary Examination for screening of candidates for the main examination.
ii. Mains Examination for shortlisting candidates for the interview.
iii. Interview.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for QCI Examiner:
There will be an examination fee of ₹1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, PWD/Differently abled (PH) category, women applicants (from all categories), and any other person, the examination fee shall be ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only).

Issuance of e-Admit Card for Interview: 22nd October 2023
Interview: 11th and 12th November 2023
Declaration of final list of qualified candidates: 17th November 2023
