RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024
RRB’s first stage for Assistant Loco Pilot posts of CBT and the second stage of CBT are online objective-type papers. The first stage of CBT consists of 4 sections that need to be completed in 60 minutes. The second stage of CBT is conducted in two parts. Part A will constitute 4 sections with 100 questions in total that need to be completed in 90 minutes. Part B will constitute 75 questions in relevant trade that need to be completed in 60 minutes.

The 1st stage CBT for Assistant Loco Pilot posts is common and consists of 75 questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness on Current Affairs

RRB ALP Exam Pattern- CBT 2
The 2nd stage CBT for Assistant Loco Pilot posts has two steps: Part A and B. Part A has four subjects – Maths, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. Part B consists of questions from the relevant trade.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (for Candidates who have opted for ALP)
The candidates need to score a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer Based Aptitude Test

Educational Qualification Eligibility Criteria:
| A) Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio &TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration &Air- Conditioning Mechanic. (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above (OR) B) Matriculation / SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics /Automobile Engineering (OR) combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI. Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering. |
