South Eastern Railway is inviting applications for the following posts:

- Body Building (Men): 01 vacancy Weight category: 70 KG
- Cricket (Men): 04 vacancies Positions: Middle order Batsman-01, Middle order Batsman –cum-Spinner-01, Pace Bowler-01 & Batsman-01
- Football (Men): 04 vacancies Positions: Defender -01, Mid Fielder-01, & Forwarder-02

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Matriculation Passed or ITI Passed or equivalent
Minimum Sports norms: a) Represented the Country in any of the Championships/events mentioned. b) At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category). c) Represented a State equivalent Unit, excepted in Marathon and Cross Country with at least 8th position in Senior National Championship.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.07.2023. No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Salary Details: Sports Persons – PB-1 in scale Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-
Selection Process: Based on performance in sports Trials and Certificate Verification.
Application Fee:
- UR/OBC candidates: Rs. 500/-
- SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/PWDs/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- The fee should be paid via IPO or Bank Draft in favor of “FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach – 700043,” payable at GPO/Kolkata.

To apply for the South Eastern Railway Sports Person Post, follow these steps:
- Read the instructions carefully before filling the application form. Download the form from the official website of Railway Recruitment Cell, South Eastern Railway(Annexure-I).
- Fill the application form in your own handwriting using a blue or black ballpoint pen. Use either English or Hindi, but not any other language. Applications in any other language or with changes to the format will be rejected.
- Affix a recent passport-sized photograph (4cm x 5cm) in color on the application form. The photo should be no older than 3 months from the date of application. It should clearly show your full face without cap, goggles, or colored glasses. The photo should be sharp, clear, and have a light background suitable for scanning and printing. Do not mark or sign the front side of the photo. Paste the photograph firmly in the designated space without stapling or pinning. The photograph should not be attested.
- Attach an additional loose photograph to the application form. Write your name, date of birth, and signature on the back of this photograph.
- Sign the application form in running hand, not in block capital letters or disjointed letters. Sign in English or Hindi in the designated places on the application form and annexures, if applicable.
- Ensure that your signature and two physical identification marks (e.g., a mole on the nose, cut-mark on the forehead on the left side, or a scar mark below the left arm) are clearly provided. Also, provide two left thumb impressions on the application form. Unclear or smudged thumb impressions may lead to rejection.
- On the envelope containing the application, write the following:
“Application against Sports Quota (Open Advt.) Gr. ‘D’ recruitment for the year 2022-23.”
- Clearly indicate the specific sports discipline, event, and position you are applying for, as mentioned in Para-1 (e.g., Full Back / Forward).
- Send your fully filled application, self-attested enclosures, and certified Annexures by post to the address below. Alternatively, you can drop your application directly into the Drop Box placed at the office premises:

A Drop Box is available at the RRC office building for submitting application forms. The applications should be sent in a sealed envelope with the superscription “Application against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) Gr. ‘D’ recruitment for the year 2022-23”.
