Description About the Job
Customer service associates have a variety of duties, the most important of which is assisting customers with any troubles or inquiries that they might have.
Often, customer service associates help customers over the phone, but they may also deal with customers in person. A customer service associate must possess a service-oriented attitude, as well as a friendly and personable attitude.
They must be able to accurately read situations and address customer needs in a reliable and timely fashion. Often, customer service associates need to sit for long periods at a time, and they must be able to speak on the phone for long periods of time.
Other duties required of customer service associates might include to word processing, data entry and other light office duties such as copying and filing.
Customer service associates should possess a friendly upbeat personality, and they should be motivated, passionate, and love working with people.
Customer service associates often need high school diploma or GED, but positions may sometimes require a college degree.
Customer service associates need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
They should possess good typing skills, and they must be able to greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Roles And Responsibilities :
- Support for general building inquiries
- Access customer records and verify customer account information.
- Identify potential customer needs and recommend solutions
- Place follow-up calls to customers to ensure their needs are met in a efficient manner
- Develop problem solving abilities
- Access customer databases, knowledge resources and technical applications to determine root causes and resolutions
- Interact with client departments regarding escalations
- Schedule a technician visit when needed
- Attend job related training, new hire and refresher training
- New product or service updates and product cross training.
