TN TRB is welcoming applications for the following positions:

1. Graduate Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) – 2222 positions

Department-wise Vacancies:

1. Directorate of School Education (including 171 ST shortfall)
2. Directorate of MBC/DNC Welfare (Including 19 SC shortfall and ST shortfall)
3. Directorate of Adi- Dravidar Welfare
4. Directorate for Welfare of the Differently Abled

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification (as of 25.10.2023):

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications for the post of GRADUATE TEACHERS/ BLOCK RESOURCE TEACHER EDUCATORS (BRTE):

1. Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
5. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., (Special Education)

Candidates must have obtained a degree or its equivalent with subjects or languages relevant to the recruitment and must pass the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – II with the relevant optional subject for direct recruitment.

Equivalence of Qualification:

Candidates claiming equivalence of educational qualification should provide evidence in the form of equivalence Government Orders (G.O.).

Qualification Criteria:

Candidates with double degrees, dual degrees, or additional degrees of one-year duration are not eligible. Simultaneous possession of any two or three of the required qualifications is also not allowed.

Age Limit (as of 01.07.2023):

The upper age limit for General Category candidates is 53 years, and for SC, SCA, ST, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC, and DW of all castes, it is 58 years.

Salary Details:

Graduate Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) will be paid on the scale of Rs. 36400 – 115700 (Level –16).

Selection Process:

The selection process includes a Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test, a Written Examination, and Certificate Verification.

Application Fee:

The examination fee is Rs. 600/- for all candidates except SC, SCA, ST, and differently-abled persons, who have a fee of Rs. 300/-. The fee is non-refundable and can only be paid online through the Payment Gateway (Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card).

How to Apply:

Interested candidates meeting the criteria can apply online through the TN TRB website from 01.11.2023 to 30.11.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
