TN Police Constable Recruitment 2023

The Tamil Nadu Police Department has announced the recruitment for Police Constables in 2023. The TN Police Application Form 2022 will be available for submission from August to September 2023, as per the official notification. The application process will close in September to November 2023.

Vacancy Details – TNUSRB PC Notification 2022:

  • Police Department:
  • Constable Grade-II – (Armed Reserve): 2180 vacancies (Male: 1526, Female: 654)
  • Constable Grade II – (Special Force): 1091 vacancies (Male: 1091)
  • Jail Department:
  • Jail Warder Grade II: 161 vacancies (Male: 153, Female: 8)
  • Firemen Department:
  • Firemen: 120 vacancies (Male: 120)

Eligibility Criteria for TNUSRB Police Constable:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Candidates should have passed the 10th Standard/SSLC.
  • Tamil Language should be one of the subjects in the 10th standard.
  • Those with qualifications higher than the 10th standard are ineligible to apply.
  • Pay Scale:
  • Selected candidates will receive a monthly pay scale of Rs. 18,200 – 52,900/-

Age Limit:

  • Applicants should be at least 18 years old and should not exceed 26 years as of 1st July of the Notification year.
  • Upper age limit relaxations are provided for certain categories as follows:
  • Backward Class, Backward Class (Muslim), Most Backward Class/Denotified Community: 28 years
  • Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar), Scheduled Tribe: 31 years
  • Transgender: 31 years
  • Destitute Widow: 37 years
  • Ex-servicemen/Ex-personnel of Central Para-Military Forces (Discharged from service within 3 years preceding the date of notification/Serving persons who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of application): 47 years

TNUSRB Communal Reservation Details:

  • Communal reservation will be followed as per existing rules and Government Orders with the following percentages:
  • Open Competition: 31%
  • Backward Class: 26.50%
  • Backward Class (Muslim): 3.50%
  • Most Backward Class/Denotified Communities: 20%
  • Scheduled Caste: 15%
  • Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar): 3%
  • Scheduled Tribe: 1%

Mode of Selection for TN Police Constable: Candidates will be selected based on the following stages:

  • Written Examination: 80 Marks
  • Physical Efficiency Test: 15 Marks
  • Special Marks: 5 Marks
  • Total: 100 Marks

TN Police TNUSRB Online Application Form: The TN Police Online Application Form will be available soon for interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The application fee for the examination is Rs.130/- and can be paid through SBI Bank e-challan or online payment. Other modes of payment will not be accepted.
