Eligibility Criteria for UCSL Assistant Managers:

Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant General Manager (Engineering) –

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Minimum 15 years of managerial experience in the Outfitting/Engineering department of shipyards, offshore platform construction companies, jack-up rigs, etc.
  • Desirable: Last 5 years as a team lead or section head in shipbuilding/offshore engineering projects.

• Assistant General Manager U&M – Dock Master –

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Minimum 15 years of managerial experience in utilities and maintenance departments of major shipyards or petrochemical/manufacturing companies.
  • Desirable: Last 3 years as a section head or team lead, experience in shipyard docking and undocking.

• Senior Manager (HSE) –

• A recognized Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology.
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Government.
  • Minimum 12 years of managerial experience in the HSE department of shipyards, engineering industries, manufacturing, or registered EPC companies.

• Managers (Various Specializations) –

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering with 60% marks.
  • Minimum 9 years of managerial experience in relevant fields such as contract management, planning/project management, hull fabrication/erection, electrical outfitting, quality control, accommodation outfitting, piping, machinery, or materials.

• Deputy Manager (Finance) –

• Chartered Accountant or Cost Management Accountant.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in financial reporting.
  • Desirable: Sound knowledge of IND-AS (Indian Accounting Standards), taxation, ERP-SAP, and strong communication and team management skills.

Assistant Manager (Various Specializations) –

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Electronics/Electronics & Communication with 60% marks.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, EPC companies, or petrochemical industries, depending on the specialization.

Age Limit (As of 18th September 2023):

• Assistant General Managers: Not exceeding 45 years
• Senior Managers and Managers: Not exceeding 40 years
• Deputy Managers: Not exceeding 35 years
• Assistant Managers: Not exceeding 30 years

Salary Details:

1. Assistant General Manager: Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 2,20,000
2. Senior Manager: Rs. 70,000 – Rs. 2,00,000
3. Manager: Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 1,80,000
4. Deputy Manager: Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,60,000
5. Assistant Manager: Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 1,40,000

Selection Process:

The selection process will include a Power Point Presentation and Personal Interview. The marks allocation is as follows:

• Power Point Presentation on work experience: 80 marks
• Personal Interview: 20 marks Total: 100 marks
