Eligibility Criteria for Sports Persons to Avail UBI:
Educational Qualification:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government.
Note: In case a Sports Person has outstanding sports achievements, but does not meet the minimum educational qualifications mentioned above, they may be allowed to participate in a recruitment process by relaxing the minimum educational qualification requirement. However, they must acquire the same within three years from the date of appointment.
Sports Qualifications (for the Hockey Sport Discipline):
i. The candidate should have:
- Represented the country in international competitions, or
- Represented any state in national competitions, or
- Represented any district in state-level competitions, or
- Represented any university in Inter-University competitions conducted by Inter University Sports Board, or
- Represented any state school team in the National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation, or
- Been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive, as a sportsperson of the game or sports discipline for which recruitment is to be conducted by the Bank.
ii. At the time of appointment, the candidate must be an active sportsperson, and their last participation should be within one year prior to the date of issue of notification for recruitment. They should also be fit enough to participate in future tournaments.
iii. Certificates that evidence credentials in respective games/sports, issued by competent authorities in the prescribed format, are required to be submitted. These certificates must relate to efficiency/merit/representation in sports.
Age Limit:
For the position of Single Window Operator-‘A’/Clerk in the Hockey Sports category, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 28 years old. However, as per government regulations, candidates may receive relaxation in the upper age limit. For more information, please refer to the UBI official notification for 2023.
Salary Details:
For the Single Window Operator-‘A’/Clerk position in Hockey Sports, female sports persons will receive a salary of Rs. 17,900-1,000/3-20,900-1,230/3-24,590-1,490/4-30,550-1,730/7-42,660-3,270/1-45,930-1,990/1-47,920 (20 Years).
Selection Process:
UBI may use the following procedure to choose candidates for the Sports Person role:
Phase I: Sports Proficiency Phase II: Field Trial Phase III: Written Test

The application fee for the UBI Sports Person position is Rs. 850.00 (inclusive of GST) for UR/OBC candidates and Rs. 175.00 (inclusive of GST) for ST/SC/PWD candidates. Applicants must pay the application fee using the online payment method only, as indicated in the table above.
