The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to conduct an examination on April 21, 2024, for admissions to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) for the 153rd Course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) scheduled to commence on January 2, 2025. The anticipated number of vacancies for this examination is outlined below:

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Age Limit:
Only unmarried male/female candidates born between July 2, 2005, and July 1, 2008, are eligible.
Selection Process:
The UPSC may follow the subsequent process for candidate selection:
- Written Examination
- Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test
Exam Center in Tamil Nadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Vellore & Puducherry

Application Fee:
Candidates (excluding SC/ST candidates/female candidates/Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India by cash or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or internet banking of any Bank.
Note: Applicants opting for “Pay by Cash” mode should print the system-generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.
