The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for the following posts:

1. National Defence Academy – Army: 208 posts (including 10 for female candidates)
2. National Defence Academy – Navy: 42 posts (including 3 for female candidates)
3. National Defence Academy – Air Force:

• Flying: 92 posts (including 2 for female candidates)
  • Ground Duties (Tech): 18 posts (including 2 for female candidates)
  • Ground Duties (Non Tech): 10 posts (including 2 for female candidates)

• Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 25 posts (including 7 for female candidates)

Total: 395 posts

UPSC NDA II Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Applicants must have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Applicants must have passed the 12th Class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are currently appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be unmarried males or females born between January 2nd, 2005, and January 1st, 2008 to be eligible.

Salary Details:

During the entire training period at IMA and OTA, male and female cadets will receive a stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month (starting pay in Level 10). Upon successful commissioning, the officer’s pay will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10 in the Pay matrix. The training period will not be considered commissioned service, and cadets will receive arrears for applicable allowances during the training period.

UPSC NDA II Selection Process 2023:

The UPSC will follow the below process to select candidates:

1. Written Exam
2. Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test

Exam Centers in Tamil Nadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Madurai, Vellore

Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC NDA II:

Candidates (excluding females, SC, and ST candidates exempted from payment of fees) must pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only). The payment can be made by cash at any SBI branch, or through Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI payment, or internet banking facility of any bank.

NOTE 1: Applicants choosing the “Pay by Cash” mode should print the system-generated Pay in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at an SBI Branch counter on the next working day only. The “Pay by Cash” mode option will be deactivated at 11:59 PM on 05.06.2023, one day before the closing date. However, applicants who have generated their Pay-in-slip before deactivation may pay at the SBI Branch counter during banking hours on the closing date. Applicants who are unable to pay by cash on the closing date, even if holding a valid Pay-in-Slip, must choose online Debit/Credit Card, UPI Payment, or internet Banking Payment mode until 6:00 PM on 06.06.2023.
