EMRS Teaching & Non-Teaching Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As of 31.07.2023)

  1. Principal –

Essential Qualification:

A. Academic:

i) Must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute.

ii) Should hold a B.Ed. degree.

B. Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of combined experience as Vice Principal/PGT/TGT, with at least 4 years as PGT or above.

C. Desirable:

  1. Experience of working in a fully residential school.
  2. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and a regional language.
  3. Working knowledge of computers.
  4. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) –

Essential Qualification:

A. Candidates must possess a Post Graduate degree from any recognized University/Institute deemed as a University in the respective subjects:

Important Note: Only candidates possessing a Master’s Degree with specialization in the subjects mentioned above will be considered eligible.

B. B.Ed. Degree. (In case of an integrated 4-year degree course, B.Ed. is not required)

  • Accountant – Must hold a Degree of Commerce from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Jr. Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Must have a Senior Secondary (Class XII) certificate from a recognized Board and possess a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Lab Attendant – Should have passed the 10th Class with a certificate/diploma in Laboratory technique OR should have passed the 12th Class with a science stream from a recognized board/university.

Age Limit: (As of 31.07.2023)

  1. Principal – Not exceeding 50 years.
  2. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) – Not exceeding 40 years.
  3. Accountant – Not exceeding 30 years.
  4. Jr. Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Not exceeding 30 years.
  5. Lab Attendant – Up to 30 years.

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. Candidates’ relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Government rules. Please refer to the official EMRS Notification 2023 for more details.

Salary Details:

  1. Principal – Level 12 (Rs. 78,800-209,200/-)
  2. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) – Level 8 (Rs. 47,600-151,100/-)
  3. Accountant – Level 6 (Rs. 35,400-112,400)
  4. Jr. Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Level 2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)
  5. Lab Attendant – Level 1 (Rs. 18,000-56,900)

EMRS Teaching & Non-Teaching Selection Process 2023:

EMRS may follow the following process to select the candidates.

  1. Principal – Examination (Objective Type) & Personality Test/Interview.
  2. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) – Examination (Objective Type).
  3. Accountant – Examination (Objective Type).
  4. Jr. Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Examination (Objective Type) & Typewriting Test.
  5. Lab Attendant – Examination (Objective Type).

Exam Center in Tamil Nadu: Chennai.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for EMRS Teaching & Non-Teaching:

  1. Principal – Rs. 2000/-
  2. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) – Rs. 1500/-
  3. Accountant – Rs. 1000/-
  4. Jr. Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Rs. 1000/-
  5. Lab Attendant – Rs. 1000/-

No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories.

Note: The applicants shall pay the Application Fee as indicated in the table above through Online Payment Mode Only.

How to Apply for EMRS Teaching & Non-Teaching Post:

Candidates fulfilling all the above clearly laid down criteria will have to apply online only through the link on the EMRS website in the careers webpage under the current openings section, i.e.,from 28.06.2023 to 31.07.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
