The following positions are open for qualified individuals to apply:

1. Project Engineer – I (Electronics) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branches for this position are Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, and Telecommunication Engineering. However, Electrical & Electronics Engineering will not be considered for these posts.
2. Project Engineer – I (Mechanical) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branch for this position is Mechanical Engineering. Industrial/Production Engineering will not be considered for these posts.
3. Project Engineer – I (Electrical) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branches for this position are Electrical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
4. Project Officer – I (HR) – Applicants must have a full-time MBA, MSW, PG degree, or PG diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or Personnel Management from an AIMA-recognized institute or university.
5. Trainee Engineer – I (Electronics) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branches for this position are Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, and Telecommunication Engineering. However, Electrical & Electronics Engineering will not be considered for these posts.
6. Trainee Engineer – I (Mechanical) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branch for this position is Mechanical Engineering. Industrial/Production Engineering will not be considered for these posts.
7. Trainee Engineer – I (Computer Science) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branches for this position are Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. However, Information Technology will not be considered for these posts.
8. Trainee Engineer – I (Electrical) – Candidates must possess a four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized institution or university in the relevant disciplines. The approved branches for this position are Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

For Project Engineers / Officers, a minimum of two years of post-qualification relevant industry experience is mandatory. Academic/teaching experience will not be considered, and one-year completed Graduate Apprenticeship training will be considered as experience. No experience is required for Trainee Engineers.

BEL, a leading Navaratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has announced job openings for the positions of Project Engineer, Trainee Engineer, and Project Officer. The age limit for the positions is 32 years, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. The salary for Project Engineer/Officer ranges from Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 55,000/- per month, while that for Trainee Engineer ranges from Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- per month. Additionally, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses such as medical insurance and life insurance premiums, attire allowance, stitching charges, and footwear allowance, among others.

Selection Process For This BEL Recruitment 2023 Trainee Engineer

Selection for the positions will be through a Written Test and Interview at Pune, and candidates must carry a Photo ID Proof – Aadhar Card, Driving License, or Voter ID for the Written Test. The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions from engineering/management subjects in respective disciplines/specializations. The assessment weightage will be 85% for written test and 15% for interview. Candidates who pass the Written Test will be shortlisted for Interview in the ratio of 1:5 in the order of merit. The results of the final selection will be displayed on the BEL website.

Pay Scale Details For BEL Recruitment 2023 Trainee Engineer

The application fee for Project Engineer/Officer is Rs. 472/- (Rs. 400/- + 18% GST) and for Trainee Engineer is Rs. 177/- (Rs. 150/- + 18% GST). However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect, and candidates are requested to read the details and manual provided on the website for making the payment.

Interested candidates meeting the qualifying criteria are required to pre-register online through ‘Google Forms’ for expressing their willingness to attend the Written Test. The online link for pre-registration for attending the Written Test will be open from 22.02.2023 to 08.03.2023. Candidates who have not registered will not be allowed to appear for the Written Test.
