Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Supervisor Trainee (Mechanical):
- Full-time regular Diploma in “Mechanical” Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 65% marks or Equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters (relaxable to 60% for SC/ST candidates).
- Supervisor Trainee (Civil):
- Full-time regular Diploma in “Civil” Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 65% marks or Equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters (relaxable to 60% for SC/ST candidates).
- Supervisor Trainee (HR):
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Business Management, BBS, or BMS from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 65% marks or Equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters (relaxable to 60% for SC/ST candidates).
Important Note: Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma and possess their Final year mark sheets to be eligible. Failure to produce the applicable Degree/Final Year mark sheet will result in the candidate being declared “ineligible” for this recruitment.
Age Limit: (As on 01.09.2023)
- Supervisor Trainee (Mechanical) – 27 years
- Supervisor Trainee (Civil) – 27 years
- Supervisor Trainee (HR) – 27 years
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates’ Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the BHEL official Notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Details:
Candidates joining BHEL as Supervisor Trainees will undergo one year of training. During the training period, a basic pay of Rs 32,000/- in the pay scale of Rs 32,000-1,00,000/- will be paid. After successful completion of training, trainees will be absorbed as Supervisors in the pay scale of Rs 33,500-1,20,000/- with a basic pay of Rs 33,500/-. In addition to the Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perks, and other Allowances and benefits will be admissible as per Company Rules, resulting in an approximate CTC of Rs 7.5 Lakhs per annum for Supervisor Trainees.
Selection Process:
BHEL may follow this process to select candidates:
- Stage I: Computer Based Examination
- Stage II: Document Verification/Scrutiny

- UR/EWS/OBC – Rs.795/-
- ST/SC/Ex-s/PWD – Rs.295/-
