Vacancy Details: CUTN is inviting applications for the following posts:
- Deputy Registrar
- Personal Assistant
- Upper Division Clerk
- Laboratory Assistant

- Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification (As on 18.11.2023):
- Deputy Registrar:
- Essential: i) Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. ii) Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent. OR Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar.
- Desirable: Relevant experience in Establishment/Examinations/Finance/Academic.
- Personal Assistant:
- Essential: i) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. ii) Proficiency in Stenography (English/Hindi) with a minimum speed of 100 wpm. iii) Typing speed of 35/30 wpm in English/Hindi. iv) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
- Desirable: Proficiency in English and good communication skills.
Skill Test Norms on Computer:
- Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 wpm
- Transcription: 40 minutes English/55 minutes Hindi
- Upper Division Clerk:
- Essential: i) Bachelor’s Degree. ii) Two years of experience as Lower Division Clerk or equivalent. iii) Typing speed @ 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi). iv) Proficiency in Computer Operations.
- Desirable: Experience in Administration/Accounts/Academic matters.
- Laboratory Assistant:
- Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or relevant field OR Three years diploma in the relevant field.
- Desirable: Two years’ experience in the laboratory of an academic/research institution.
- Lower Division Clerk:
- Essential: i) Bachelor’s Degree. ii) Typing speed @ 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi). iii) Proficiency in Computer Operations.
Age Limit (As on 18.11.2023):
- Deputy Registrar: 50 years
- Personal Assistant: 35 years
- Upper Division Clerk: 32 years
- Laboratory Assistant: 32 years
- Lower Division Clerk: 30 years
Salary Details:
- Deputy Registrar: Pay Matrix Level -12
- Personal Assistant: Pay Matrix Level – 6
- Upper Division Clerk: Pay Matrix Level – 4
- Laboratory Assistant: Pay Matrix Level – 4
- Lower Division Clerk: Pay Matrix Level – 2
Selection Process:
- Qualifying Test (Paper I)
- Descriptive-type test (Paper II) & Interview

- Application fee: Rs.750/- for UR/OBC/EWS candidates; Fee exempted for ST candidates applying for ST posts. CUTN employees and PWD candidates are exempted from the application fees.
