Age Limit:
- The upper age limit for PE(C) is 33 years, and for TO(C) it is 30 years. All eligibility criteria are based on the date of selection.
- Age Relaxation: OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years, and PwD category candidates have a relaxation of 10 years. Candidates who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 have a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
Salary Details:
For the ‘Project Engineer on Contract’ post, the incumbent is eligible for a consolidated amount of ₹40,000 per month for the 1st year, ₹45,000 per month for the 2nd year, ₹50,000 per month for the 3rd year, and ₹55,000 per month for the 4th year.
Additionally, they will receive a lump sum amount of ₹12,000, which includes ₹3,600 towards Mediclaim policy upon submission of proof and the remaining balance for attire allowances after completing at least 6 months from the date of joining.
For the ‘Technical Officer on Contract’ post, the candidate is eligible for a consolidated amount of ₹25,000 per month for the 1st year, ₹28,000 per month for the 2nd year, and ₹31,000 per month for the 3rd and 4th year. In addition to the mentioned consolidated amount, the selected candidate will receive other benefits such as reimbursement of premium paid towards Mediclaim, Company PF, TA/DA (while on official duty), and paid leave as per existing rules.
ECIL Technical Officer Selection Process 2023:
Candidates will be allowed to participate in the selection process after registration and successful document verification. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated through a Personal Interview, and final recommendations will be made based on the specified criteria.

Eligible candidates can download the Application Form from the official website and should report at 09:00 hrs. with a duly filled application form, resume, and the following original certificates along with a set of self-attested photocopies:
a. SSC certificate or School leaving certificate as proof of date of birth
b. Government-issued identity proof (e.g., Aadhar, Passport) and recent passport-size color photograph
c. Documents supporting qualification (Certificate & Marks sheet)
d. CGPA conversion certificate from institution/university, if applicable
e. Experience certificates from previous employment (Appointment Order & recent 3 months’ pay slips are mandatory if currently employed) clearly mentioning the duration (from & to dates)
f. Category certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) if applying for reserved posts. In the case of OBC, the certificate should not be older than a year from the date of selection and should mention the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ clause.
g. Valid certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen, and relevant certificate for claiming age relaxation as a candidate from J&K, if applicable
h. The registration closure time at the venue is 11:30 hrs. on the respective dates.
