Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accurate and timely data entry within designated timeframes, considering priority and complexity.
  2. Work in a highly sensitive data environment, prioritizing Data Privacy and adhering to confidentiality requirements to prevent any compliance breaches.
  3. Identify and propose solutions to address process shortcomings, actively contributing to the continuous improvement efforts.
  4. Independently handle complex internal or external partner issues, advocating for the partner/customer and influencing decision-making on deliverables.
  5. Provide customer support by collaborating with internal partners or customers globally, addressing inquiries and resolving transactional issues. Possess the ability to independently handle exceptions using discretion.
  6. Participate in the implementation of new business policies and processes, actively contributing to process redesign, and offering recommendations to enhance operational efficiency based on independent judgment and discretion.
  7. Develop expertise in specific areas of group support, becoming a go-to resource for procedural knowledge. Use discretion to provide recommendations for handling exceptions, ensuring successful compliance.
  8. Maintain an updated Knowledge Base with relevant content on policies, procedures, and frequently asked questions, actively sharing acquired knowledge and experience.
  9. Strive continuously to achieve customer satisfaction and minimize complaints regarding the delivery of HR Operations Services.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resource Management, or Customer Service.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data entry or management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, but also including PeopleSoft or Oracle.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively respond to customer queries.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Skilled in applying judgment to address customer needs, including the ability to ask targeted questions.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Possesses strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Shows initiative, drive, and a strong desire to continuously improve processes and achieve objectives and service levels.
  • Experienced in multitasking within a fast-paced environment, completing work tasks with speed and accuracy in a detailed work setting.
  • Capable of making decisions that impact customer service levels with a sense of urgency.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and displays a willingness to assist others.
  • Familiarity with common help desk tools such as CRM is a plus.
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive attitude towards resolving issues.
  • Ability to work with and manage documents on SharePoint is desirable.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

The HR Services Center of Excellence offers operational and support services for Microsoft’s HR programs, focusing on customer support, core HR operations (such as HR data administration, onboarding, leave administration, staffing, learning and development), business process optimization, HR online solutions, and project management.

The effectiveness of the HR Services organization is crucial for ensuring consistent experiences for employees and managers companywide, making it an integral part of HR.

As a member of the HR Services organization, the HR Services Advisor plays a vital role in maintaining data quality, enabling downstream applications and processes to function properly, and ensuring compliance within the HR services organization.

This position requires a proactive professional who will primarily be responsible for supporting HR Services operations through exceptional problem-solving skills, customer service, and data entry abilities.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on knowledge of SAP HR, previous experience in HR shared services, and, most importantly, the ability to take responsibility for maintaining worldwide data on positions, employees, and contingent staff. Accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of the data are of utmost importance. To succeed in this role, the individual must excel in operational execution, attention to detail, customer service, analytical problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement.
