The UPSC is headquartered in New Delhi and was established on 1 October 1926.
The UPSC conducts examinations for various levels of services, including the civil services examination (CSE), which is considered one of the toughest examinations in India.
The CSE is a three-stage examination that includes a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview.
The exam is held annually, and around 8-10 lakh candidates apply for it, out of which only around 1000-1200 candidates are selected.
The UPSC is a highly prestigious body, and cracking the UPSC examination is considered a significant achievement in India.

The third and final stage is the interview stage, where candidates are interviewed by a panel of experts to test their suitability for the position they have applied for.
The UPSC examination is highly competitive, and only a few candidates manage to crack it.
However, those who do crack the exam are rewarded with highly prestigious positions in the Indian civil services, including the IAS, IPS, and IFS.
The UPSC examination is considered a level playing field for candidates from all backgrounds, as it is not biased towards any particular caste, creed, or religion.
Candidates from all parts of the country and all walks of life can apply for the exam and have an equal opportunity to succeed.

The UPSC examination is known for its high level of difficulty, and candidates who wish to crack the exam need to have a strong foundation in their chosen subject.
They also need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the social, economic, and political systems of the country.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of candidates applying for the UPSC examination.

The interview stage of the exam is particularly important, as it allows the panel to get a sense of the candidate’s overall personality and suitability for the position.
Overall, the UPSC is a highly prestigious and respected body in India, and cracking the UPSC examination is considered a significant achievement.
The UPSC examination is a level playing field for candidates from all backgrounds, and it is known for its high level of difficulty and the high level of prestige associated with cracking it.
