UPSC Cabin Safety Inspector Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Senior Farm Manager –
(A) Education: M.Sc. in Horticulture or Agriculture with a specialization in Horticulture from a recognized University or Institute.
(B) Experience: Three years of regular experience in the field of horticulture crop production, farm management, or protected cultivation from Central Government, State Government, Union Territory Administration, Public Sector Undertaking, Statutory Autonomous organization, recognized research institution, or Universities.
- Cabin Safety Inspector –
(A) Education: Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board.
(B) Experience: Ten years of experience as Cabin Crew and currently working as Cabin Crew.
Desirable:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or institute.
(ii) At least one year of experience as a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approved Safety and Emergency Procedure (SEP) Instructor.
- Head Librarian –
(A) Education:
(i) Degree from a recognized University.
(ii) Degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science from a recognized University or Institution.
(B) Experience: About five years of experience in a Library of standing.
Desirable: Knowledge of one or more foreign languages.
- Scientist – ‘B’ –
(A) Education: Master’s Degree in Zoology from a recognized University.
(B) Experience: Three years of experience in research and techniques in the field of Zoology from the Central or State or Union territory Government, Autonomous Body, Statutory Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, University, or Recognized Research Institutes.
Desirable: Doctorate degree in Zoology from a recognized University or Institute.
- Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) –
(A) Education:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Specialty or Superspecialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology); or Doctor of Medicine (Ophthalmology); or Diplomate National Board (Ophthalmology) or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology; or Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery.
(B) Experience: Three years of experience in the concerned Specialty or superspecialty after obtaining the Post-graduate degree or five years of experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.
- Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) –
(A) Education:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Specialty or Superspecialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry); or Doctor of Medicine (Psychological Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Psychiatry/Psychological Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Post Graduate Diploma
- Assistant Chemist –
(A) Education: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, specializing in Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or Soil Science from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable: It is preferred that candidates have a minimum of two years of experience in Ground Water Analysis and Ground Water Chemistry work from a recognized Institute, autonomous body, or Government organization.
- Assistant Labour Commissioner –
(A) Education: Candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university in Social work, Labour welfare, Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, or a Degree in Law from a recognized university.
(B) Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in the field of Labour Welfare Work, Industrial Relations, or Personnel Management.
- Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) –
(A) Education:
(i) Candidates must possess a recognized MBBS qualification listed in the First or Second Schedule (excluding licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates with qualifications listed in part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Candidates who have completed their compulsory rotating internship are eligible to appear for the written examination. However, if selected, they must have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.
- General Duty Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) –
(A) Education:
(i) Candidates must possess a Degree in Homoeopathy from a recognized University or a Statutory State Board/Council equivalent recognized under the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973).
(ii) Candidates should be enrolled on the State Register or Centre Register OF Homeopathy.
Age Limit:
- Senior Farm Manager – Maximum age: 35 years.
- Cabin Safety Inspector – Maximum age: 40 years.
- Head Librarian – Maximum age: 35 years.
- Scientist – ‘B’ – Maximum age: 35 years.
- Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) – Maximum age: 40 years.
- Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) – Maximum age: 40 years.
- Assistant Chemist – Maximum age: 30 years.
- Assistant Labour Commissioner – Maximum age: 35 years.
- Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) – Maximum age: 32 years.
- General Duty Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) – Maximum age: 35 years.
Candidates may be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government Rules. Please refer to the official UPSC Notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Details:
- Senior Farm Manager – Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Cabin Safety Inspector – Pay Level-11 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Head Librarian – Pay Level-07 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Scientist – ‘B’ – Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Specialist Grade III (Ophthalmology) – Pay Level-11 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance).
- Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry) – Pay Level-11 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance).
- Assistant Chemist – Pay Level-08 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Assistant Labour Commissioner – Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Medical Officer (GDMO sub-cadre) – Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance).
- General Duty Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) – Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance).
The selection process for candidates in UPSC may involve the following steps:
- Recruitment Test
- Interview
Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Cabin Safety Inspector:
(a) Candidates, except for Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from the fee, need to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five) only. The fee can be paid by cash at any branch of the SBI, through net banking of any bank, or using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
(b) SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community are exempted from paying the fee. However, Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
(c) Applications submitted without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
(d) The paid fee is non-refundable and cannot be reserved for any other examination or selection.
