4. Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) (equivalent to Project Scientist-B -Medical) –
5. Project Technical Support-II (equivalent to Project Technician-III) –

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) (equivalent to Project Scientist-C -Non-Medical) –

1. Essential Qualification: First-class Master’s Degree in Life Science with specialization in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology/Bioinformatics with three years of related field experience OR Ph.D. OR Second-class Master’s Degree in the above subjects with Ph.D. and three years of experience.
2. Desirable Qualification:

1. Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology/Bioinformatics with one year of experience in handling any research project.
2. Knowledge of computer applications, statistical tools, and data management.
3. At least two publications.

2. Project Technical Support-III (equivalent to Project Research Assistant) –

2. Essential Qualification: Three years Graduate in Life Science with specialization in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology and three years of experience OR Master’s degree in the above subjects.
3. Desirable Qualification:

2. Knowledge in computer applications.
3. Experience in laboratory testing.

3. Project Technical Support-II (equivalent to Project Technician-III) –

3. Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects AND Diploma (MLT/DMLT) with five years of experience.
4. Desirable Qualification:

3. Master’s degree in Life Science (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology).
4. Knowledge in computer applications.

4. Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) (equivalent to Project Scientist-B -Medical) –

4. Essential Qualification: MBBS/MVSc/BDS.
5. Desirable Qualification: —–

5. Project Technical Support-II (equivalent to Project Technician-III) –

5. Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects AND Diploma (MLT/DMLT) with five years of experience.
6. Desirable Qualification:

5. Master’s degree in Life Science (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology).
6. Knowledge in computer applications.

Age Limit:

1. Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) – 40 Years
2. Project Technical Support-III – 35 Years
3. Project Technical Support-II – 30 Years
4. Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) – 35 Years
5. Project Technical Support-II – 30 Years

Salary Details:

1. Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) – Rs. 51,000/- p.m. + HRA (as per Project Sanction letter)
2. Project Technical Support-III – Rs. 31,000/- p.m. (as per Project Sanction letter)
3. Project Technical Support-II – Rs. 18,000/- p.m. (as per Project Sanction letter)
4. Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) – Rs. 61,000/- p.m. + HRA (as per Project Sanction letter)
5. Project Technical Support-II – Rs. 18,000/- p.m. (as per Project Sanction letter)

Selection Process:

ICMR-NIV may follow the following process to select candidates:

1. Walk-In-Interview
2. Written test

How to apply:

Interested and eligible candidates with the aforementioned Essential Qualification may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the Institute with all original and self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials, valid identity proof, and one passport-size photograph. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the interview without the original certificates.
