Operations Intern (Order Team): Gain hands-on experience managing supply-chain logistics for a thriving company
Join Fresh Prints, a dynamic custom apparel startup based in NYC, and embark on an exciting internship opportunity. We empower exceptional students by providing them with working capital, training, and support to establish successful businesses on their campuses.
As an Operations Intern with the Order Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in our company’s success. You’ll directly contribute to delivering top-quality products to our valued customers, having handled an impressive volume of over 20,000 orders, resulting in more than $28 million in revenue last year.
Are you ready to tackle the coordination of multimillion-dollar campaigns involving numerous domestic and overseas vendors? Can you identify strategies to minimize costs and maximize profit margins for individual orders? How would you ensure the timely delivery of an order within 5 days, while the standard turnaround time is 10 days?
Throughout your internship, you’ll face daily challenges associated with unique orders. Your ability to navigate complex logistics will be key as you take ownership of the orders assigned to you. You’ll enjoy considerable autonomy and decision-making authority, providing you with valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time paid internship position spanning two months, from July ’23 to September ’23. Exceptional performance may lead to future full-time employment opportunities within one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. Reporting to our Operations Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with other members of the Fresh Prints team, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process assigned orders promptly and efficiently.
- Identify and address logistical challenges for each order, devising optimal solutions.
- Coordinate order timelines through email and phone communication with Campus Managers, Clients, Vendors, and Decorators, ensuring alignment.
- Contribute to various projects and campaigns as needed.
Requirements:
- Final-year student or recent Bachelor’s degree graduate.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/G Suite, particularly Excel/Google Sheets and Word/Google Docs.
- Availability to work during EST timings (8 AM – 5 PM, NY Time).
- Ability to handle complex tasks within tight deadlines.
- Aptitude for making independent decisions.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
