SINP DAE LDC & Technician Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Engineer ‘C’ –
Essential qualifications & Experience:
i) The candidate must have a first-class (60% marks) graduate degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent).
ii) A minimum of 2 (two) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in erection, operation, and maintenance of 33 KV / 440V sub-station, switchyard equipment, ACB, distribution panels, motors, starters, DG Set with AMF panels, lifts in a reputed organization.
- Knowledge in estimation, schedule of works, tendering, and experience in different electrical projects.
- Electrical supervisor’s permit issued by the State Licensing Board.
- Experience in erection and commissioning of HVAC works and equipment.
- Experience with high and low voltage (AC and DC) power supplies and knowledge of associated safety measures.
- Experience or knowledge of working in radiation zones.
- Willingness to undertake shift duties if required.
- Knowledge/experience in the preparation of budget estimates, tender documents, schedule of works, etc.
- Experience in maintaining HVAC, AC chillers, motors, etc.
- Technician ‘B’ (Electrical wiring/servicing/maintenance) –
Essential qualifications & Experience:
i) Minimum 60% marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) level.
ii) ITI (1-year course certificate) with 3 (three) years of relevant experience. OR ITI (2-year course certificate) with 2 (two) years of relevant experience.
OR
i) Minimum 60% marks in HSC Exam with minimum 60% marks in Science & Maths.
ii) No ITI certificate.
iii) Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification:
- Proficiency Certificate/Electrical License in the relevant field.
- Shift duty has to be performed if required.
- Technician ‘B’ (AC maintenance, AC plant operation and maintenance) –
Essential qualifications & Experience:

ii) ITI (1-year course certificate) with 3 (three) years of relevant experience. OR ITI (2-year course certificate) with 2 (two) years of relevant experience.
OR
i) Minimum 60% marks in HSC Exam with minimum 60% marks in Science & Maths.
ii) No ITI certificate.
iii) Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in the relevant field.

- Technician ‘B’ (Tracer/Draughtsman for drawing office) –
Essential qualifications & Experience:
i) Minimum 60% marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) level.
ii) ITI (1-year course certificate) with 3 (three) years of relevant experience. OR ITI (2-year course certificate) with 2 (two) years of relevant experience.
OR
i) Minimum 60% marks in HSC Exam with minimum 60% marks in Science & Maths.
ii) No ITI certificate.
iii) Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification:
- Proficiency Certificate/Electrical License in the relevant field.
- Shift duty has to be performed if required.
- LDC (Lower Division Clerk) –
Essential Qualification/Experience:
- Graduate from a recognized University.
- Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English corresponding to a computer typing speed of 10500 KDPH on average of 5 key depressions for each word.
- Certified course in computers.
Note: Typing speed will be checked as part of the skill test and not during the screening of applications.
Desirable Qualification/Experience: (i) Good communication skills, both oral and written in English. (ii) Knowledge/Experience in any standard accounting software, e.g., Tally, etc. (iii) Good knowledge of Office software and its applications.
Age Limit: (As on 25.08.2023)
- Engineer ‘C’ – 30 years
- Technician ‘B’ (Electrical wiring/servicing/maintenance) – 25 years
- Technician ‘B’ (AC maintenance, AC plant operation and maintenance) – 25 years
- Technician ‘B’ (Operation and maintenance of computer and peripherals) – 25 years
- Technician ‘B’ (Tracer/Draughtsman for drawing office) – 25 years
- LDC (Lower Division Clerk) – 25 years
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates’ relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the SINP DAE official Notification 2023 for more information.
Salary Details:
- Engineer ‘C’ – Level 10
- Technician ‘B’ (Electrical wiring/servicing/maintenance) – Level 03
- Technician ‘B’ (AC maintenance, AC plant operation and maintenance) – Level 03
- Technician ‘B’ (Operation and maintenance of computer and peripherals) – Level 03
- Technician ‘B’ (Tracer/Draughtsman for drawing office) – Level 03
- LDC (Lower Division Clerk) – Level 02
SINP DAE LDC & Technician Selection Process 2023:
For Engineer-‘C’ Posts – The shortlisted candidates among eligible applicants who meet the requirements as per the advertisement, expertise in the relevant field, and essential qualifications will be called for an Interview. A written test may also be conducted. The final selection will be made through an in-person interview.
For Technician-‘B’ Posts – Written test followed by a Trade test for the shortlisted candidates.
For LDC Posts – Written test followed by a Skill test for typing speed for the shortlisted candidates.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for SINP DAE LDC & Technician:
The application fee is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) for the post at Serial No. 01. For the rest of the posts, it is Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred only). The application fees should be submitted through online remittance only. All Women candidates, candidates belonging to PwBDs (persons with Benchmark Disabilities), and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from paying the application fee, as per existing government orders. SC/ST candidates are exempt from paying the application fee for the posts reserved only for their respective category.

- All applicants must log in to the application portal at to fill out the application form online.
- Candidates who are not exempt from paying the application fees must pay the fee before filling out the online application form, as the transaction reference number will be required during the application process.
- Candidates who are exempt from paying the application fees may mention “Fee exempted” in the appropriate field during the online application form filling.
- After filling and submitting the application form online, take a printout of the online submitted application.
- Print out the online submitted application (in duplicate), duly ink-signed, superscripted as “Application for the post of , Post Code__, Category “_____________,” and send it along with the self-attested documents supporting age, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate, etc. to the Registrar, Registrar’s Office, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, 1/AF, Bidhannagar, Kolkata-700 064. The application should reach on or before September 06, 2023, by post, no later than 3.00 PM.
