TIFR Scientific Assistant Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Scientific Assistant (B) –
- Full-Time Science Graduate (B.Sc.) in Electronics from a recognized University/Institute with an aggregate of 60% marks. OR Full-time Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University/Institute in the fields of Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics with an aggregate of 60% marks.
- Knowledge of the use of personal computers and its applications.
- Desirable Experience: Freshers are welcome, but candidates with hands-on experience in designing analog and digital electronics circuits and knowledge of programming for Microprocessors and Microcontrollers will be given additional credit.
- Scientific Assistant (B) –
- Full-Time Science Graduate (B.Sc.) in Electronics from a recognized University/Institute with an aggregate of 60% marks. OR Full-time Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University/Institute in the fields of Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics with an aggregate of 60% marks.
- Knowledge of the use of personal computers and its applications.

Age Limit: (As on 01.07.2023)
- Scientific Assistant (B) – Maximum 33 years
- Scientific Assistant (B) – Maximum 28 years
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the TIFR official Notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Details:
- Scientific Assistant (B) – Rs. 64,938/-
TIFR Scientific Assistant Selection Process 2023:
