The Vendor Associate role serves as an exciting entry point into our organization, offering endless career opportunities. In the initial 12-18 months, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the Selling Partner Support business, enhance your technical skills, and develop customer advocacy.
Additionally, you will have the chance to acquire new skills such as mentorship, coaching, negotiation, process improvement, and account management, enabling you to advance your career with Amazon. Historically, Vendor Associates have progressed into various areas such as editorial, data analysis, workflow and capacity planning, training, as well as leadership roles like team leads, supervisors, and managers.
As a Virtual Contact Center (VCC) associate, you will work remotely from a location approved by Amazon for all scheduled hours. Your home location, as mentioned at the top of the job description, will serve as your work base upon joining.
It is your responsibility to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity and maintain a suitable work environment at home to deliver your best in terms of productivity and quality.
The role of the Vendor Associate involves acting as the primary liaison between Amazon and Selling Partners, providing support via phone, chat, and email in English. You will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate operational support to Selling Partners on the Amazon platform.
Your impact on Amazon’s customer experience will be immediate and significant, making customer focus a key requirement for the role. As a Vendor Associate, you will address recurring system issues, propose process improvements, create internal documentation, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile: We are seeking a high-energy individual with a passion for customer service. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to understand and empathize with Selling Partners.
The role requires a willingness to work towards high-performance targets and an inquisitive, improvement-oriented approach to work. As a Vendor Associate, you will take complete ownership of each Selling Partner interaction, proactively solve problems, and provide exceptional support.
Shifts: This job involves working in a 24/7 environment, including night shifts. Shift assignments are determined based on business requirements.
Weekly Off: You will have a rotational two-consecutive-day off schedule, resulting in a 5-day working week.
Additional Requirements:
- During the first four months (Training & Transition), unplanned leaves are not allowed.
- Proficiency in using a desktop or laptop, familiarity with internet browsers, Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook, and MS Office.
- A noise-free home environment with reliable internet connectivity to fulfill work deliverables.
- A minimum internet speed of 20 Mbps or better, with at least 100 GB data from a reliable provider.
- Availability of a mobile phone at all times from a reliable provider.
- Adequate power backup in case of power shutdown.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate effective, clear, and professional written and oral communication in English.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and provide email support in English.
- Candidates should either live in Chennai or be willing to relocate to Chennai and work remotely within the city limits.
- Candidates should have a fixed-line internet connection (high-speed broadband) and power backup to support their shift time.
- Provide prompt and efficient service to Amazon Selling Partners, including appropriate escalation of issues. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while effectively managing sensitive issues.
- Exhibit excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently using departmental resources, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and proactively assist team members with challenging contacts, if needed.
- Maintain acceptable performance metrics, such as quality, productivity, first contact resolution, and attendance.
- Actively seek solutions through logical reasoning and data interpretation skills, and identify trends for improvement suggestions.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Customer Service, Merchant Investigations, or Payments teams, as necessary, to resolve Selling Partners’ issues and questions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Any Graduation (excluding BE, BTech, and MBA Freshers)
- Language: English
- Technical proficiency in computers and the internet is required.
- Committed advocate for Selling Partners, driving process and tool improvements.
- Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills, with a high degree of flexibility.
- Adaptability to constant change with flexibility and grace.
- Demonstrates appropriate sense of urgency in responding to contacts despite varying workloads.
- Exhibits effective communication, composure, and a professional attitude.
- Exemplary performance record, particularly in terms of quality and productivity.
- Desired skill sets include proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, and internet browsers such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a customer service environment is preferred. Desire to expand skills into new areas.
