ECR is on the lookout for candidates to fill various positions across its divisions. Here’s a breakdown of the vacancies by division:
- Danapur Division
- Dhanbad Division
- Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division
- Sonpur Division
- Samastipur Division
- Plant Depot/Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya
- Carriage Repair Workshop/Harnaut
- Mechanical Workshop/Samastipur
- Total:Various
Applicants are required to select only one Division/Unit. Details of Divisions/Units and the number of slots (trade-wise) are provided below.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Additionally, they must possess an ITI in the relevant trade.
Age Limit:
- Candidates should be between 15 and 24 years old as of 01.01.2023.
- Age relaxation is applicable for specific categories: i) 5 years for SC/ST communities ii) 3 years for OBC communities iii) 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD) iv) Ex-servicemen have a relaxation based on total Military service plus 3 years, subject to completing at least six months of regular attested service.
Stipend:
Selected candidates will receive a stipend during the apprenticeship at rates specified by the Railway Board, subject to changes as per rules.

- SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates: Nil
- All Other Candidates: Rs.100/- Note: The application fee must be paid online.
