Business Continuity Manager
Job Overview: As a Business Continuity Manager at Sutherland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of our global business operations. This is a full-time position that involves maintaining a high level of availability, driving the maturation of our Business Continuity Program, and implementing internationally accepted standards for Business Continuity Management.
Responsibilities:
- Certification Maintenance:
- Maintain BCP professional certification (DRII and/or ISO 22301).
- Be available 24/7/365 to address major service-disrupting events.
- Program Development:
- Drive the continuous improvement of Sutherland’s Business Continuity Program.
- Develop and deliver curricula emphasizing internationally accepted standards for Business Continuity Management.
- Documentation and Management:
- Provide written Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans for all SGS global business operations.
- Manage the portfolio of documents in the Fusion Risk Management tool, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Maintain and distribute site/regional dashboards relevant to Business Continuity Management metrics.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with Senior Management to provide updates on the Business Continuity Program status.
- Crisis Management Support:
- Provide logistical support for the Crisis Management Team, including coordination of meetings, communications, and documentation of events.
- Resiliency Strategies:
- Devise and implement cost-effective business resiliency strategies for the organization.
- Develop strategies for organizational response to disasters at Enterprise, Regional, Site, and BOP Levels.
- Testing and Assessments:
- Coordinate and conduct on-site Disaster Recovery test exercises to validate SGS’s ability to meet documented recovery objectives.
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessments as required for internal and mission-critical vendor facilities.
Qualifications:
- Provide on-site expertise/support to Service Delivery and Business Development for client visits in any/all of SGS’s facilities.
- Define, document, implement, and educate staff on processes and procedures for effective Incident Management.
- Be on-site and coordinate the communications process during service-impacting events globally.
- Provide support to TCO to produce all documentation relative to outage events from detection to Root Cause Analysis upon request.
- Plan, execute, be on-site, document, and communicate all major Change Management events for Enterprise Systems, including developing impact mitigation strategies per individual client requirements, regardless of geographic location.
- Ad-hoc Project Management.
- Act as a liaison between IT and SGS management/Client management/Vendor management to communicate the status of mitigation strategies developed during the Root Cause Analysis documentation process.
- Collaborate with counterparts in SGS to facilitate a global standard for processes and procedures aligned with the strategic goals of SGS and meeting the requirements of the global client base.
