The HPCL Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) program offers apprenticeships in a wide range of engineering disciplines, including:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

• Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Computer Science/IT Engineering  
• Petroleum Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Applicants must be engineering graduates in any of the disciplines mentioned above.
  • The graduation must be completed after April 1, 2022 (candidates who completed engineering before this date are not eligible).
  • Minimum aggregate score required:
    • General, EWS, OBC, and NC categories: 60%
    • SC, ST, and PwBD (VH, HH, and OH) categories: 50%
  • The score is calculated across all qualifying exam years and semesters.
• Age Limit (as on December 30, 2024):
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 25 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST applicants: 5 years
  • OBC applicants: 3 years
  • PwBD (Gen/ EWS) applicants: 10 years
  • PwBD (SC/ ST) applicants: 15 years
  • PwBD (OBC) applicants: 13 years

Stipend:

Graduate Apprentices (Engineering) will receive a stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month. This breaks down to Rs. 20,500 paid by HPCL and Rs. 4,500 paid directly to the apprentices by the Government of India (GOI) as per the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the HPCL Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) program will consist of two stages:

1. Merit List: HPCL will shortlist candidates based on their academic performance and eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their technical skills, aptitude, and overall suitability for the program.

• Registration on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0): Only applicants who have been approved by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) and registered on the NATS 2.0 website will be considered for the program.
