Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is accepting applications for the following positions:

Educational Qualification:

1. Management Executive (ME) – SCMD:

1. Essential: Engineering Graduate with MBA (Finance/ Marketing/HR/ General)
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-MBA experience in a relevant field in Central Government/ State Government/ Union Territory Government/ Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ reputed Government agency/ Private Sector Organization with countrywide operations.

2. Management Executive (ME) – IR&TISD:

2. Essential: Engineering Graduate with MBA (Regular)
3. Desirable: MBA in International Relations/International Business
4. Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-MBA experience in a relevant field in Central Government/ State Government/ Union Territory Government/ Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ reputed Government agency/ Private Sector Organization with countrywide operations.

Age Limit: (As on 16.12.2023)

1. Management Executive (ME) – SCMD: 45 years
2. Management Executive (ME) – IR&TISD: 45 years

2. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the BIS official Notification 2024 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Management Executive (ME) – SCMD: Rs. 1.5 Lakh (fixed)
2. Management Executive (ME) – IR&TISD: Rs. 1.5 Lakh (fixed)

For the IR&TISD position, candidates should possess an Engineering Graduate degree with a regular MBA, while an additional MBA in International Relations/International Business is desirable. Similar to the SCMD role, a minimum of five years of post-MBA experience in relevant sectors is a prerequisite.

The age limit for both positions is set at 45 years as of December 16, 2023, with relaxation provided according to government rules. Successful candidates will be rewarded with a fixed salary of Rs. 1.5 Lakh.

The selection process involves a two-step procedure, beginning with shortlisting based on the candidates’ qualifications and followed by an interview.
