IGCAR is seeking apprentices for the following trades:

• Engineering Trades: Fitter (46), Turner (7), Machinist (10), Electrician (22), Mechanical Machine Tool Maintenance (1), Electronic Mechanic (15), Instrument Mechanic (18), Draughtsman (Mechanical) (12), Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (9), Process Plant Operator (12)
• Construction Trades: Carpenter (4), Mason/ Civil Mistry (4), Plumber (2)
• Other Trades: Welder (Gas & Electric) (14), Horticulture Assistant (3)
• IT-related Trade: PASAA (Programming and System Administration Assistant) (19)

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Possession of a valid ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in the specific trade corresponding to the chosen position (e.g., ITI in Fitter for the Fitter position).
• Age Limit: As on October 13th, 2024, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 24 years.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit is available for reserved categories:
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
    • General / Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10 years
    • SC/ST: 15 years
    • OBC: 13 years

Selection Process:

The selection process will be merit-based. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

Salary and Benefits:

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,050/- if they hold a two-year ITI certificate or Rs. 7,700/- for a one-year ITI certificate.
