The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has opened applications for the position of Assistant Director (Official Language) with a total of 21 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Assistant Director (Official Language) role, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess one of the following educational qualifications:

1. A Master’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in Hindi, with English as a subject at the degree level.
2. A Master’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in English, with Hindi as a subject at the degree level.
3. A Master’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in any subject, with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level.
4. A Master’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in any subject, with Hindi Medium and English as a subject at the degree level.
5. A Master’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in any subject, with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level.

Experience:

Candidates should have three years of experience in using or applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa. Preferably, this experience should be related to technical or scientific literature and should have been gained under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/State Organization/PSUs/Universities/recognized Research or Educational Institutes. Alternatively, three years of teaching experience in Hindi and English under the aforementioned institutions will also be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

(i) Knowledge of one language other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution at the level of Matriculation or its equivalent. (ii) Possession of a Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from any recognized Institute/University or equivalent. Alternatively, two years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India undertakings and Autonomous Bodies, will also be considered.

Age Limit: (As on 02.05.2024)

The maximum age limit for Assistant Director (Official Language) is not exceeding 35 years.

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

• For SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
• For OBC Candidates: 3 years
• For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (General/EWS) Candidates: 10 years
• For PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years
• For PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years

Salary Details:

The salary for Assistant Director (Official Language) is in the pay scale of Rs. 56100-177500/-.
