This initiative aims to gather a diverse range of spoken language data to enhance the capabilities of cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. By participating, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of voice-based technologies.
Project Overview
Our project involves collecting high-quality audio recordings of spoken English from native Indian speakers. Participants will be tasked with recording specific utterances or phrases using their Android mobile phone or tablet. These recordings will be used to train AI models to better understand and respond to human speech.
Task Description
As a participant, you will be provided with a digital tool that displays text-based prompts or utterances. Your role is to record these utterances clearly and accurately in your own natural voice. Each utterance will come with specific guidelines on how it should be recorded, such as pronunciation, tone, or speed. It is essential to follow these instructions meticulously to ensure the highest quality data.
Please note that each individual can only participate in the project once.
Workload and Expectations
The estimated workload for this project is approximately 185 utterances per participant. To maintain data consistency and quality, all recordings will undergo a rigorous quality assurance (QA) process. Only utterances that meet our stringent standards will be accepted and compensated.
We anticipate that completing the task will take between one to one and a half hours. However, individual times may vary depending on factors such as internet connectivity, recording environment, and participant familiarity with the process.
Participant Requirements
To qualify for this project, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Be at least 18 years old.
- Device: Own an Android mobile phone or tablet.
- Language: Be a native English speaker from India.
- Location: Reside in India.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency in English to understand project instructions and communication.
- Internet Connectivity: Maintain a stable internet connection throughout the project.
- Recording Environment: Have access to a quiet environment suitable for recording audio.
Compensation
Participants will receive a competitive hourly rate of $7 USD for their contributions. Payment will be processed through our AI Community platform using Hyperwallet upon successful completion and QA approval of the task.
It is important to emphasize that this is an independent contractor opportunity, and participants will be responsible for their own taxes and other related expenses.
