Who Can Apply?

To be eligible to apply for a CSMCRI Scientist position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Essential: Ph.D. (thesis submitted) in Chemical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Desirable: Ph.D. thesis in the area of Natural Products Chemistry.

  • Hands-on experience in adding value to marine resources through extraction, purification, and functional modification.
  • Proficiency in using modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques for structural elucidation, including 1D & 2D-NMR, advanced MS, FTIR, UV, and GPC techniques.

Scientist Post Code 02:

• Essential: Ph.D. (submitted) in Biological Science.
• Desirable Experience: Expertise in plant genomics and NGS data analysis (genome assembly, transcriptome assembly, differential transcriptomes, gene annotation, data mining) with publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Scientist Post Code 03:

• Essential: Ph.D. (thesis submitted) in Chemical Sciences.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in synthesizing and characterizing silica-based materials (silica, aluminosilicates, zeolites, etc.) for industrial applications, with proven publications in SCI-indexed journals or patents.

Scientist Post Code 04:

• Essential: Ph.D. (thesis submitted) in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in algae/plant biotechnology or molecular biology, supported by research training and publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Scientist Post Code 05:

• Essential: Ph.D. (thesis submitted) in Biological Sciences/Environmental Sciences/Coastal Biology/Marine Biology.
• Desirable Experience:
  • Field experience and/or a Ph.D. thesis in Marine Ecology/Marine Environment/Marine EIA.
  • A demonstrated record of research excellence through publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals or technology development and patents.

Scientist Post Code 06:

• Essential:
  • M.E. / M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology.
  • OR Ph.D. (thesis submitted) in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology.
• Desirable Experience: Industrial experience in chemical manufacturing, product development, or chemical project management, particularly in inorganic chemicals. Experience in cost computation and risk analysis of projects, processes, or product development is also desirable.
